I am not going to post the article here (but link to it for reference in case you need ideas/backup to your own interpretations).
What exactly do you think Bill Clinton is doing with these (so-called) anti-Obama/pro-Romney gaffes he's been making out on the campaign trail?
Whose side is he really on?
Title of Article: Has Bill Clinton lost his touch or is he playing a more devious game?
This post originally appeared on Slate.

(CBS News) Bill Clinton is the great St. Bernard of politics, bounding around the political landscape, rescuing and providing aid while simultaneously knocking over the table lamp. At the moment, he is hosting the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative, which this year is taking a serious look at America's economic problems. He is also in the thick of the 2012 campaign, raising money for President Obama. The trouble is no one is better at articulating the case for Obama's re-election--while at the same time occasionally undercutting Obama's chances.
Recently he has been on the wrong end of at least three different statements he has had to clarify--defending Bain Capital, testifying to Mitt Romney's "sterling" business career, suggesting the country was still in a recession, and suggesting he favored , extending the Bush-era tax cuts. Clinton is doing such good work for Mitt Romney that he now appears in the Republican nominee's press releases. Even Sarah Palin praised Clinton last night, in an effort to make President Obama look way out of the mainstream.
What is up with Bill Clinton? Everyone has a theory, which is part of the problem with Bill Clinton. He compels theories from people about his hidden machinations, even when there aren't any.
Is Clinton any of these suggested in the article?
A) A storyteller in a Twitter world.
B) He's actually not off message. misspeaking.
C) He has forgotten how to talk like a politician (because he doesn't have to).
D) He thinks he is the smartest one in the room.
E) Occam's bushy beard (the most baroque explanations to explain utterly common things)
F) He loves politics.
G) He is angling for his wife.
H) None of the above
I) Other, please elaborate________________________________________________.

the Clinton comments have been going on for several years but have really picked up all the last few months. It sort of late in the game if he was laying the groundwork for Hillary to run for president. So I have to be honest, I do not know what his game plan is. Time will tell I guess.
I'm with you in the head scratching, AV.
The article lays out several plausible explanations and concludes he's a political enigma and something of a loose cannon still.
I've seen some bets being placed on other threads.
I'd like to bet here -- but have absolutely no confidence in any predictions.
Thanks for commenting. MM
Pathological liars often have trouble keeping their stories straight...
Are you calling me and AV pathological liars, Ron?
Of course not, but Mr. Clinton has had a bit of a truthiness deficiency over the years...
It's only a lie if you get caught by a grand jury.
Could well be. But 2016 or a grab for 2012?
I don't know what to think. Both Clintons are doing their "Clinton public policy thang."

Hill's busy kicking off the inaugural Institute of the Women in Public Service Project at Wellesley June 11th.
From the announcement:
Wellesley College, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State and our sister colleges, will host the first Women in Public Service Institute on Wellesley's campus. Forty-nine selected delegates, described by keynote speaker former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright '59 as "among the best and brightest rising political talents from countries in which women's voices are desperately needed in seats of power," will attend this first-of-its-kind, two-week program that will train the next generation of women leaders.
he is trying to divert attention from his photo op with the porn stars!
Is "photo op" a euphemism for not having sexual relations?
They don't call the name slick for nothing.
Like trying to nail (no Monica Lewinsky pun intended) jello to a tree.
