What Xbox 360 game should I buy for a 10 year old?
It is my nephews birthday coming up and he wants a game for his Xbox 360, what should I buy him?
well I really enjoy actions games, and could recommend some, but since he's really young, you could get him the Kung Fu panda or Indiana Jones:

Or both...
There is nothing wrong with a 10 years playing games as long as its monitored and controlled.
I think "Toy Story 3" is a good game, moderate difficulty level, fun and no excessive violence.
I don't play many video games but I certainly enjoyed Rock Band 3
Transformers: War for Cybertron, OK for little kids but not too little, awesome graphics, and easy maneuverability. Obviously there are some laser cannons but it isn't over the top.
Or if he is into sports a little Madden NFL
If you go to Gamestop's website/walk in stores you can order a used copy at a discount price.
And since MickS is worried about his brain you could get him the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book, or also The Mystery of the Origami Yoda.
Sorry to ramble...my son is 10.
I'd highly recommend Beautiful Katamari.
It's a quirky, colorful puzzle-esque game with catchy music. The premise is simple enough - you roll a sticky ball around the floor, picking up anything small enough to stick to the ball. Some rounds start you out barely able to pick up a paper clip, and end with you able to roll up sky scrapers.
I guarantee the first time he gets to roll up a flock of chickens, or pulls a shark out of a swimming pool, he'll crack up laughing.
I think I'd have gone nuts as a 10-year-old if I'd been handed a Katamari game.
Since there is a 10 yr old in my household I would recommend the following games if they are interested in these types of:
Music / Dance: Get Xbox Kinect to play Dance Central - No Controllers required!. Continuing with music Rock Band set along with the game should suffice.
RPG: Halo Reach is good, not too violent. Stay away from Black Ops and any other Call of Duty games.
Car Racing games: Burnout Paradise is a great game which gives the player incentive to keep playing. Appropriate for all ages.
Lego games: Star Wars (if interested in star wars), Indiana Jones
Sports games: Madden 2011, NBA 2k11, NBA Live 2011 are all excellent games for xbox 360 depending on which sport is preferred by the child.
Skateboarding: If they are interested in skateboarding then try Tony Hawk's Ride. It is a little hard but it gets easier as you play it more often.
Halo 1, I know it's old, but that game is so legit it's not even funny.
It is rated M I think and has 2 or 3 cuss words in it, but it's really fun.
Get a Kinect, not only does the kid need to be active and a kinect does that but it is also fun. It comes with a game called Kinect Adventures which has a few different mini game type games mixed into it. For instance it has an obstacle course type game and also white water rafting. If you really want to get him something he will love get him Kinect Sports too. Not only does that allow him to play games like table tennis and boxing but it is also fun for the whole family and ....(a good work out too.)
well, that depends, if you want you can the bloody and rated M stuff, like gears of war or halo. or if you want them playing more childish games, try little big planet, this game is a work of art.
Almost all Kinect games are good for a 10 year old or any age really my advice is get the Kinect sports 1 the old one would be cheaper or the new one Kinect sports season 2 updated version either one would be fine he/she will enjoy it and you when they sleeping

I like the interactive video games for the children, and want to get one for my home, but after doing some research, am wondering which is better -- the X-box or the Wii?I like that the X-box does not have all the controller handles and cords to get tangled, but it also costs more. Does the...
