How Hemp Nutrition can Boost your Immune System

Updated on June 17, 2014

The greatest benefit of hemp seed nutrition is its ability to boost one’s immune system. Hemp seed contains all the nutrients necessary for the immune system to build strong antibodies and successfully fight off sickness. The human immune system can be weakened due to a number of factors. This could be due to smoking, drinking, poor nutrition and sickness. Hemp nutrition can help the body to return a robust immune system by supplying the correct nutrients.

Plasma Proteins

Proteins make up 75% of the bodies solid mass structure. These protein structures are made from various amino acids. The body is not able to make essential amino acids. Therefore, they have to be consumed from hemp nutrition. All antibodies are made within the plasma fluids from hemp seed proteins. Antibodies are made from white blood cells called plasma cells.

Plasma is the fluid component of blood that carries nutrients to all tissues and organs in the body. It also removes the excretory components of cells. Plasma is the fluid that all nutrients are suspended in. It makes up 55% of all blood volume. The most important function of plasma is that it serves as a protein reserve.

The three types of plasma proteins are albumin, fibrinogen and globulin. Hemp seed protein contains only globulin and albumin. Fibrinogen is responsible for the clotting properties of the blood. Hemp seed protein consists of 65% globular protein edistin and 33% albumin.

Albumin

This is the component of plasma protein that keeps the plasma fluids within the blood vessels. Lack of albumin will lead to swollen joints or the body bloating. Lack of albumin also leads to a poor lymphatic system. Therefore, antibodies are not able to get to the areas of the body that it is needed.

The body also uses albumin to remove catabolic hormones such as cortisol, reducing stress factors after a stressful event (leads to faster recovery). Albumin balances the levels of HDL to LDL cholesterols to their correct ratios. This is one of the reasons hemp seed nutrition promotes a healthy cardiovascular system.

Albumin also helps cells to live longer and repair themselves efficiently. This is because albumin ensures that the plasma fluid is able to circulate the body and provide all necessary nutrients to all cells.

Globulin Protein, Edistin

There are two types of globulin protein; serum globulin (meat protein) and edistin globulin (plant based). Globulin proteins are used by the body to create antibodies. Hemp nutrition is the highest source of edistin protein. The more hemp seeds consumed, the stronger your immune system will be.

Globular edistin is responsible for the structural integrity of all cells. Globulin protein is used to form microtubules in cells. This is used to maintain the cells correct shape and form. This helps to prevent cells from becoming cancerous or to malfunction. Globulins also protect the integrity and functions of the cell’s DNA instructions.

Immunoglobulins are antibodies created from B cells to neutralize specific antigens that have previously attacked the body before. The instructions for creating an immunoglobulin can also be inherited from historical genetic data. These types of antibodies are important in preventing further damage to the body from antigens.

There are 3 types of globulin proteins; alpha, beta and gamma. The alpha and beta proteins combine with other proteins and nutrients in order to transport them to the tissues or organs that need them. This results in the efficient repair of cells that need the nutrients urgently. Therefore, damaged or exhausted cells can rejuvenate themselves. Gamma globulins are used to build up immunoglobulin.

antioxidants

Hemp nutrition contains the most potent antioxidant known to man, Vitamin E. This vitamin is also known as alpha-tocopherol. It helps to neutralize the free radicals caused by an invading sickness. There are a lot damaged cells as a result of the immune system waging war against an invading antigen. This antioxidant helps to clean up the system while the immune system does its thing. This results in a faster recovery from sickness.
