How can you make yourself more comfortable in hot, humid weather?
How can you stay dry or comfortable in a humid climate?
I am from a hot and humid country. Wear thin casual clothes. If you are not working in the office or meeting clients, then just like me, wear t-shirt and shorts. And no shoes, only casual slippers, not those bedroom slippers in cold countries. You can have free air-con in shopping complexes. Take repeated showers and drink plenty of water.
Drink lots of water
Sit near an ac machine
Wear thin clothes
Wear clothes that protect you from the glare of the heat
Wear pure cotton clothes, preferably in soothing light colors. Drink ample water. Take bath at least 2 to 3 times. We have in India some talcum powder with cooling substances like camphor and sandalwood powder in it. They give the much required relief. Eat light and those fruits and vegetables, which keep you cool internally, such as water melon, cucumber etc. Avoid oily and spicy food.
one who lives in hot & humid climate can understand this better....and India is an example...We Indians manage with everything from clothes to diet & dwellings in order to cope up the weather...Gud cotton wears...light healthy food, lot of water and juices...big airy houses with greeneries all around...all together makes the living more comfortable for us!
Dress in light weight clothing, shorts, halters, tee shirts, flip flops or Tennis shoes and stay indoors as much as possible with good air conditioning and use of fans. Drink plenty of water and other liquids that hydrate the body. Do not work too long or stay outside too long at a time. If you must go outside try to stay in the shade as much as possible under a shelter or trees.
all of the suggestions here of course: lightweight clothing, avoiding heavy or strenuous outdoor work during the hottest part of the day, air conditioned environments when possible. Also, if you are outside you can buy or make a cooling handkerchief. You roll it up and inside you sew some of the crystals that absorb water that you can place in plants. Wet it down and freeze it. When you go outside tie it around your neck and the cold pellets stay cold for a pretty long time and help cool the body because they are on pulse points on the neck.
I agree with all but add: don't set air cond too low to avoid power failures and go to shelter if no air cond. Stay out of heat at hottest part of day. If too much air cond bothers you, take jacket to stores and restaurants

Why is it more comfortable to make things up about people of Different beliefs? There have been a rash of questions and answers lately from people (mainly self professing Christians) asking why atheists hate God, etc. Rather than listening to what atheists day and explain about...
