If you are talking about Dr. Berardi's "Get Shredded Diet," it is very popular for those in the fitness community. However, if you have more than 15-20 pounds to lose, then it would be far better for you to learn healthy eating habits and lose naturally. Though the "Get Shredded Diet" is healthy for those who have little weight to lose, it is a low-calorie and low-carb diet that may impose health risks on those who have more weight to lose. The diet is a short-term diet, mostly used for those last few stubborn pounds. The method is used for those in the fitness community, especially those who are stage competitors and must look their best (low body fat and good muscle tone). It is not good as a long-term diet because long-term low-calorie and low-carb diets will lower your thyroid function which can inhibit or shut down your metabolism. Whenever doing a low-calorie and/or low-carb diet, you should only do them no longer than 12 weeks and then take as much of the same time off from doing them. With that being said, learning about and building healthy eating habits is the best way for anyone to lose weight.
