What are the 7 ways that FAILURE can be damaging, destructive, & even immobilizing mentally,
psychologically, & even psychically to one's self-confidence & self-esteem?
What makes you think there are exactly seven ways that "FAILURE" can cause issues. I think it's much more likely that there are fewer or perhaps more ways. I also suspect that "FAILURE" is a path to learning and growth, not just the negative things you list here. The person who has never failed at anything has probably never taken a chance or a firm stance on anything.
The way your question is phrased presupposes that everyone agrees with the premise stated in the question. That seems to be a common theme with many of your questions. I believe that's known as a "loaded question" or a "complex question fallacy".
Failure can make some people feel totally inept & incapable. They reason that if they were capable, they would not have failed in the first place. They contend that failure will ruin their reputation in the eyes of others, especially those who play significant roles in their lives. They see failure as making them lose all types of credibility & respect.
They furthermore contend that because of failure, their lives are irreparably ruined. They believe that all future prospects of success are closed & that others will consider them to be somehow blemished, even tarnished. They maintain that no one worthwhile would want to have anything to do with them as a result of failure. They feel as if they are lesser people. A few may even feel marginalized.
They are quite apprehensive of trying. In their estimation, why attempt anything as the likelihood that such attempts will end up in failure. There are those who adopt a totally negative mindset, outlook, & philosophy because they have failed. They may even contend that somehow something is totally amiss with them. They rationalize that if such was not the case, they would have succeeded.
Are you referring to the mentally ill or do you suggest that typical people think this way? If they truly believe the things you contend, perhaps they are failures. As long as you learn from past attempts, the only true failure is ceasing to try.
There are many who think this way, especially those who were raised by critical & perfectionist parents. Also there are people who are intolerant regarding failure. They are the people who always succeed at every endeavor i.e. the overachievers.

Why do some people actually contend that the bible is the word of God when any logicalperson knows that the bible has been interpreted, reinterpreted, written, rewritten, and even altered by men according to the suited purposes of the religious authorities at a particular time?
