Do they have to be mutually exclusive? I have always found the 2 to be closely related.
Do what you love and love why you do.
happiness for me is more important,, How can we achieve success when we do things we're not happy with? Success just comes along the way when we stay happy and positive. cheers!
The answer for me is obvious: Happiness!
I have another question... What is the success? The success in life is to be happy. Don't you think?
I think Happiness is more important. But happiness follows success. If you try to be happy and follow your goals then you will most likely be successful.
Happiness is elusive and temporary-an emotion, like many, that comes and goes depending on the situation. Success is in the eye of the beholder-what one considers successful, another would scoff at.
For instance, many people in all cultures are driven by success-it is the dream to be successful-expensive car, home, position, money-all material substances (except position), which can be wiped away by any tsunami or hurricane, a raging fire, flood, etc.
If one does not fall into the category of having a home, a job, or perhaps professional degree he or she is labled a failure. Or, at the very least 'unsuccessful'.
But, there are many circumstances which prevent someone from measuring up to the standards deemed by society. That, in itself, does not make someone unsuccessful.
To me success is measured by the person you are, how you exhibit the light of love and truth.
Happiness or success? How about-contentment. Contentment for being just who you are, knowing yourself and presenting that Self to the world in the highest regard. That is both success and happiness.
Denise, you should write a Hub based on what you just articulated here.
Happiness and success for me is truly loving who you are and how you help others with what you have. In addition, happiness is most definitely within. Happiness is seeing my child everyday. Happiness is knowing I can try again if I make a mistake. Success is failure turned inside out which leads to happiness within.
Great question and answers everyone!
I would say happiness is most important if I have to choose. But also if one has worked very hard for their success in a field they love, that too will bring happiness and a feeling of accomplishment.
dont worry be happy ofcourse happiness if you are not happy you cant be successful
I think if one is happy he will succeed more easy, but success is nothing worth without happiness. What do you think?
Maybe a better question is which is more important: happiness or money. Because means different things to different people. I would say happiness.
With success comes happiness. My ultimate fear is failure, I always have to succeed in what I do - truly that is one of the only things that make me happy in life.
I would say that ultimately, your happiness is more important the the amount of "success" that you have. Everyone measures success on their own personal scale. Your idea of success can be completely different than another person's idea of success. However, I can say that success does play a vital role in your happiness, obviously.
I think they are both important and with life being so changeable happiness and success can seem to weave in and out of our lives at separate times or at the same time. Being comfortable with who we are offers the greatest success and happiness. I can't really choose either for a short answer but I think considering them both is helpful.
Happiness is what we're all here to enjoy.
If we don't have it, we strive for it.
Success can often be linked to happiness, however, it's possible to be successful and unhappy.
If you do something in your life that you love and enjoy, the likelihood is that you're also happy...and that's one way to look at success!
For me, it is happiness.
You can be successful but unhappy. In life, I do believe happiness is the best treasure. I seek for happiness as it makes my life a pleasure. Seeing my kids and my wife enjoying themselves with me is the best happiness I can ever ask for.
What is more important, happiness or success? Some people base their happiness on success, and others base success on their happiness.
Every person has the right to be happy, although not many people tend to know what that entails. Some people can find happiness in relationships, or their work, or their hobbies. And when they are happy, they become successful in those fields.
It is possible to become successful without being happy, such as sacrificing time with loved ones and friends for the success of ones job. In this case the success may provide some satisfaction or compensation, but the happiness is not there.
True happiness is one of the most important sensations in the world, and it needs to be the focus of peoples lives. More happy people means less depressed people. Put your happiness first, and success will follow.
Happiness is success, in a way. I mean, how can you be successful if you're not happy?
Happiness is more important to me. There are some rich and successful people who are unhappy. It means success is not everything. Besides, what's the point of being successful if you're not happy?
Well happiness is way more important then success but if you are successful then you will have money and that can always make life easier
If you are successful you are happy or if you are happy its real success. In former statement you should know the destiny to reach to be labeled as successful and till then you are not happy. In later statement you are searching for happiness each second and being happy you can attain any thing. So being happy ever is the greatest success.
