I was diagnosed with bicep tendinitis, mild inflammation, almost a month ago (affected by an old injury i had almost for a year). I am 19. I am wondering if it would be advisable to where a shoulder support. Thank you for your time.
Supports of any kind are good for short periods of time to help the joints and supporting ligaments etc rest and repair. However you should be careful not to wear one for too long as this can cause wastage of the supporting muscles and subsequent weakness of the joint.
Should you decide to wear a shoulder support make sure you do enough research into different makes/brands, because as with most things they do vary if quality. Hope this is of some help.
