What is your favorite Christmas stocking stuffer?

I always have trouble thinking of new stocking stuffers for my family.  What interesting/different/fun things do you like to get in your stocking on Christmas morning?

My dad always gave us nuts, fruit and candy in ours which we could dig into soon as we woke Christmas morning while Mom fixed breakfast before we opened presents and it was a tradition I still love. So I would have to say that comes over additional presents. It was always special or unusual of each so we got to try new things.

My children love finding a tangerine, always found at the bottom of their traditional christmas stocking along side wrapped golden or silver covered chocolate coins :)In recent years I have bought them all a similar christmas decoration to hang on the tree and placed this in their stocking too;which makes for a great keepsake in years to come:)

My husband likes to get me and the kids goofy presents for the stocking, from his family tradition. For instance, this year he is already planning on getting our 13yo daughter a can of Unicorn Meat that he saw (it's empty because there's no such thing, get it? ha. ha.). I, on the other hand, was raised in a house where the stocking was filled with practical things we all needed: shaving cream, razors, shampoo. My brother learned that he smelled when Santa put deodorant in his stocking. Dad used to get soap on a rope. lol. So, that's what I do: stuff the stockings with toiletries. My husband & I don't do the stocking thing anymore--it saves money.

Heres a cool list of the top 10 stocking fillers for kids teens and adults that I made for hubbers to get ideas from

Every year, since I was little, I can remember getting an orange at the toe of the stocking (santa is fairly practical when considering the shape of a stocking, don't you think?), and a new tooth brush. I can always count on being able to replace my toothbrush come Christmas time haha.

As for more fun items, each member of my family gets a cheap little wind-up toy, which we later race across the carpet or table to see who's is the fastest. Never underestimate the fun of a little wind-up toy.

Candy is always a huge hit as far as stockings go too smile

My grandmother used to put one of those Lifesavers books inside every year. It had like 10 rolls of Lifesavers inside including butterscotch. I don't even know if they make those anymore but it was memorable.

This year I'd like to get a chocolate diamond ring in my stocking.
