Halloween Movie Trivia-1978
82
Attention Baby Boomers, where were you when Halloween came out in October 1978?
I was 15 years old and dating my first husband. I remember sitting in the theater holding on tightly to his arm.
Halloween is one of those movies that just knew how to scare you. It didn't take oodles of blood, gore and blood-curdling screams to scare you. It took you behind the mask of a pyschotic killer and let you see the world through his eyes and hear his breath. That's creepy stuff.
With Halloween rapidly approaching, I thought it would be fun to take a look at some of the trivia about the movie that you probably were not aware of it. I think you'll be impressed.

1978 am I really that old? Halloween is coming soon, time for fun. KCC thanks for taking me back to one of my favorite movies.
I was 18, and too big of a chicken to watch this at that time--I don't think I saw it until years later, lol!
This was fascinating to read--so much I didn't know about it--thank you for enlightening us! :)
LOL...A Texan....I did eventually break up with him.....over 25 years later though. LOL
Hey, I'm there with you Scott! Time flies!
TamCor, why a chicken? It's only a movie! LOL I remember watching Carrie as a teenager too. OMG, that movie scared me too.
Thanks to all of you for stopping by. This was a fun hub to put together.
I've seen it at least 20 times....great hub! Thanks! :)
Thanks Tom! I think I probably have too. Almost time to watch it again! LOL
Now that I think about it--I think I watched it for the first time with Tom...so it was when I was about 29!hahaha!:D
Update I was 14 in 1978, that has been bugging me and I couldn't remember where I wrote I was 13!
LOL.....with a November birthday, I turned 16 a few weeks later.
I still love (and prefer)the original Halloween.
Something about the atmosphere.
i like it
I didn't see it in your list (but might have missed it...) but if you're attentive, you can see the California license plates on cars despite the Illinois setting for the film!
LOL....nice one, Jellydonut. Thanks for adding it.
