How To Start loving Yourself
62
Loving You
No one can love you the way that you can love yourself. You, yes you, are important and deserve to be loved. Start with yourself first.
- Find a mirror and meet your eyes in the mirror.
- Say out loud, “I love you- say your name”.
- Say it 3 times. Say it like you mean it. No one's around, so don't feel embarrassed.
Pause. Look at yourself. Really look and see yourself. See your beauty- not just skin deep.
Find 3 things that you love about yourself. The list can be exhaustive but we will work with 3 for now.
Say what they are. For example, “I love your beautiful, almond shaped, brown eyes they are so expressive.” “I love the way that you laugh.” “I love your big generous heart.”
Now, smile at yourself in the mirror. See the beauty of your smile- of you. It's a way for you to start appreciating and loving you.
You are a wonderful, wondrous being. You were created from love. Your highest self is pure love which is the strongest energy.
Tell Yourself
Always tell yourself good things about you.
Don’t criticize yourself.
Don’t be judgmental. Try to accept yourself. It’s a learning process. It takes time.
Be good to yourself.
You are loved always.
Every time that you see a mirror, remember, to smile at yourself.
