Everyone knows that it's good to have hobbies. Our moms told us so.  The idea, apparently, is that we will remain calm, interested and interesting if we have a hobby.  As far as I'm concerned a hobby you love is just plain fun.

There are about as many different hobbies as there are people in the world. For every interest, there is a hobbyist eager to partake and enjoy, often communicating with others interested in the same hobby.
