Is Love The Question Or The Answer?

Is love today's word for sex,
Or just an affair of the heart?
Does it mend open wounds,
Or rip relationships apart?
Can it stir a man's adoring desire?
Or only set his phallic soul on fire.
All this I ask.

Do you really love me?
Or do you truly pretend?
Do you slink around every bend,
To seek my friends behind my back,
Then return and tell me what I lack?
Why do we wear these foolish masks?
All this I ask.

You treat me like a china doll,
That crumbles at the slightest fall.
I'm a woman not a porcelain dove
Why don't you hold me, dammit,
and let's make passionate love!
All this I ask.

Do I love you,
And out teetering bliss?
Or was it just a sweet moment
risked from our first searing kiss.

Do I, do you, do we.
I'm so very confused.
Please help me answer this!
Is love the question or the answer?

foxxy, I think you're on a roll with the poems. Nicely done. I don't know the answer to your question though. I'm just as confused, lol.
