Does Hubpages allow you to write a book review on an eBook you've written?

I'm in the process of writing my first eBook. It will be published on Amazon, so I want to drive traffic over there. What I'd like to know is can I write a book review hub on it or would HP consider that too self-promotional?

I think I read that you can't self publicize, however, you can link to your ebook on Amazon if it has something to do with your hub. For instance, your hub is on marriage and you link to your "saving your marriage" ebook on Amazon...flow of content.

This is a good question, because I am planning to publish an e-book next month. I had thought of writing a hub about it, but yeah, not sure HubPages would take kindly to that.

I don't think that you should write a book review of your own book.  It would probably be a biased view of the work.  However, I think that you should right a hub about the book in general.  Explain what led you to write it in the first place, what kind of book it is (self-help, fiction, non-fiction, biographical, autobiographical, etc.), what the writing process was like, the kinds of things you had to look further into while working on the book, and other interesting things like that to get readers more excited and to draw more attention to your book!  If you do write a hub about it though, I would love to read it!!

You're right on this. It is easy for a write to be bias about your own work.

I have seen several hubs from people who have published an ebook. Most of them are just letting us know and elating over it a bit. They put the location of the book and a link to it. Only put one link on there so it does not trip the link trigger. Congratulations on your book.

How about asking fellow hubbers to read the book and do a review for you or is that against the rules?
