HEY! I have an Idea! Why doesn't someone write a Hub on "How to Make Money on HubPages."?

Honestly! How many people have to try and tell the rest of us how to make money using HubPages?  If a new one pops up right now (like one did a few minutes ago), what are the odds that it will say something new and useful to the rest of us?

Hey, Don -- it's true I've seen a lot of Hubs here offering similar advice, but since every writer's a little different, I read a number of them any way.   You never know when someone's unique experience will help you understand something in a different way or point you to a resource you never knew existed. ^_^

PoeticVine- Thanks for the comment. And, yes, I understand that there is always the chance that ......... But, sometimes, you click and its just another wannabe, hoping for a few temporary points from using an enticing title and saying nothing new.

Man I cant believe you spoiled this for me. For weeks I have been working on my latest hub, "How I Made 15 cents With Only Ten Hubs". It is well written, informative, and would have been a real help to all those newbies out there. Now I guess I´ll have to delete!!!!

DrMark1961- LOL! I needed that! And, I deserved it.
I look forward to the release.

DrMark: You make me smile! I could have written that with my eyes closed. I did, however, write two hubs on the topic of how to be successful, since I used my hubs as "experiments" and learning curves on what works with Google and what doesn't.-Deb

What makes me laugh is when someone who has been on the site for a day writes a hub on how to make money on Hubpages smile

      Uninvited Writer- Exactly! It's as if there is a web site out there somewhere on the web that says;
Here are what your first twenty Hubs should be on, if you want to get rich!
      JEEZ!

Even better, when they write that hub and then post in the forum asking people why they aren't making any money smile

I have not yet made a breakthrough discovery of how to make more money using HubPages. I believe that there isn't any more avenue to earn quick money unless you devote a lot of time into writing, polishing and thinking critically. Serious writing is a profession that not anyone can be adept at. There are no cheats, no frills, and no such thing as writing en passant.

I have seen several hubs about this and each one is a little different.  Some mention the different programs such as the Ebay and Amazon Affiliate Programs.  Others mention the appreticeship programs.  Others mention using search engine friendly keywords.  Each person has their own techniques.  As for me, I have made about 5 cents so far.

I will admit: I'm new here, and I started out by reading a few of those hubs. Partly because I thought it would be interesting to write and make some money on the side, but also because I was hoping they would have some tips on how to write hubs, as my only real writing experience has been academic and creative writing. Professional article writing is something completely new to me, and I hoped there would be some tips on getting started.

    Not so much.

Grinning Gremlin: Much of what you will read (my Hubs included) have to deal with refining your writing skills. Google does recognize great content, as many Hubbers will share they can receive in excess of !000 views a day.--Deb

I agree! If you are suckered into reading one and then another, they all start to sound the same. I think they maybe useful to hook some people into the site but I am not sure whether they are  people who truly contribute effectively to the community. Sometimes they are also good for a laugh! The best ones are indeed written by those who have been here 5 minutes!

Look at that! You made your way to 100 by asking crazy questons like this.

Don Bobbittposted 11 years agoin reply to this

MarieAlana1- Look closer! The vast majority of the " Questions" are crazy. As a Hubber, having a few questions and answers under your belt, halps your overall rating with HP.
So,I recommend that you go a little "crazy" yourself?

I am laughing so hard right now. You just made my day.

When I first started (A few days ago really) I actually read about five different 'how to make money on hub pages hubs'. I read the first two because I was serious and the other three just for kicks, because I found that some of the writers did not have good stats and I could not really imaging them making any money either.

I just thing that it's funny that there are so many experts on this topic when Hub Pages themselves have an entire knowledge base on how to do almost everything on hub pages already.

    Nice zing Mr Bobbitt!

I love to read other Hubs, when I am online and it just really 89756535s me off when I have to keep tripping over these 'Know-Nothings"

Until the Hubpages management and the Hubpages writers start to communicate and cooperate as we should, I think we can be spared any more of the genre, "How to Make Money on Hubpages", because money-making on Hubpages will be pretty difficult!

I go into this theme in more detail in my new Hub, 'Hubpages at the Crossroads'.

Darn!  I was about to write a Hub on "How to Quit Your Full Time Job by Writing Hubs."  You, sir, have burst my bubble.  I suppose that I shall have to devote my writing time to some other "sure-fire" Hubs, such as:

A Newbies Blueprint to Quench Your Thirst with Water, or...

Breathing in Air - Always a Good Idea, or...

5 Great Reasons to Close Your Eyes In Order To Go To Sleep

Yep, that's where I'll make my fortune, just you wait and see!  I can already envision my efforts paying off strong dividends as featured Hubs.  Heck, why stop there, first page on Google is where I'm heading!

PS-  As sometimes my intent at humor goes amiss, allow me to make it clear, I'm just contributing a bit of collegial sarcasm. ; )

Hey I had all those ideas!

If I write my article on 'the importance of breathing' and you write yours, we won't make as much money because of the dupes.

We need rock, paper, scissors to resolve this.

I love it. Now that I have insulted the three hundred or more Hubbers who essentially write the same information into their "How To make Money" Hub.
