   How did you find your niche in writing?
   
   There are many hubbers on here who seem to have found their niche and do quite well. I can't seem to focus on any one topic, perhaps because I'm used to writing about a variety of subjects in my day job and am easily bored with  one subject matter. But I recognize the value in finding a niche and sticking with it to attract an audience. So how did you go about deciding what your niche would be, develop enough topics on that to be able to pursue it long-term  and to market that niche and yourself as an expert in that area?

   I didn't really find mine, Its just what I love and enjoy doing and just happened that way. I'm a Physical Therapist, prior to acquiring my license I was a Personal Trainer for years, I have always been enamored with the human body/health/fitness & have been into health/fitness/weight training for over 25 years, its what I know best and what I write about. So I guess I would say, which ever topic you enjoy writing about the most, if one sticks out.

   Keep doing what your doing, be unorthodox, write on all subjects! It's what I do and I get great traffic and I'm still just starting off.

   I had the same question too when I started writing hubs.  Although I have been a member for awhile, I just recently started publishing articles. So far I've written on entertainment and old hollywood, but other ideas I have for hub topics aren't even related to what I have written. And, reading & following other hubbers, I've realized that you don't have to stick to a single theme for all you hubs.  The ones I follow write on a variety of subjects and are really interesting!  So, my point being not to put any restrictions on yourself.  It'll only have a negative effect on your writing if it's not something you want to do.  Write about what you're passionate about and you'll do great!

   i am publishing hubs related to my college lessons. which includes economics, banking, modern Indian history and some other contemporary topics.

   I don't have a niche... or I haven't found one yet.
   I think you have answered your own question when you said that you are easily bored with one subject matter.  Concentrate on what you are doing best, and whether that changes over time, then you are doing a worthwhile job.
   I can vary between whimsical, bitter and romantic.  If I am performing well it is for others to say, but if it is giving me satisfaction, then why throw out the baby with the bathwater.  I know that is a hackneyed expression, but it is relevant.
   Just remember; it is not always dangerous to change horses in mid-stream.  Sometimes the handy log that happens to be passing that you can grab hold of is that old life saver, inspiration.
   But regardless if you want to plough a narrow furrow, or whether you want to branch out in many directions, good luck and I hope your writing gives you the satisfaction that miner gives me.

   I started out writing hubs related to my work as a teacher - in the fields of English, drama and poetry, then I branched out a little and wrote recipe, travel and sports hubs!
   
   There are some genuine niche writers here on HP -  I think you need a certain kind of personality to keep that discipline up. Sounds like you enjoy a wide variety of subjects as a writer?
   
   In the end I think it's best to write about what you have a passion for and try to stick to that. If in time you become a niche writer then great. If not you've always got the satisfaction of writing articles that you know you'll enjoy doing, and not feel that you're forcing yourself to churn out another niche article.

   It's okay not to have a niche while you explore.  Don't put too much pressure on yourself.  Write about a number of topics that interest you.  Try something unusual.  Write what you are passionate about over a period of months.  See what comes easiest for you as far as the writing/idea process.  What gets the most traffic for you over time (if that's important for you)?  What topic do you consider most important?  Consider whether you intend to primarily educate, persuade, entertain -- what? Over time, the tone and tenor of the comments, the traffic, and your instincts will lead you in one or more directions.  Good luck!
