Smaller and smaller homes are being touted as the next best thing.  How do you feel about them?

    "Woman lives in 130-square-foot house"

"Ella Jenkins, 24, had never even picked up a saw before deciding to build her miniature cabin. Cost only $16K."

Okay.  Here's my question:  When will it just be hip to own an RV?  There's more and more coverage about these 'tiny' homes these days.

What would you rather live in?  A tree house or an RV?

If I had to choose one, an RV I suppose. I am very claustrophobic and so a small house or vehicle to spend a lot of time in would not be my ideal home.

I've always lived in what most people would consider a small home, so it doesn't really bother me. I mean, not 130 sq. ft small, but pretty dinky compared to the monster houses that most people consider acceptable.

If I had to go smaller, I would probably choose a tree house. I love RV's, but a tree house could be fun.

You must think what I think when I see those 'breaking news' type stories about small homes and small apartments:  "You guys just live in GIANT homes.  We ALREADY do this 'radical' concept that is so shocking to you..."

Living in a tree house with a vine to swing on is every boys dream!

This is true.  This is that thing where you can be in a gigantic room with all the space you'd ever want...but then you build a fort out of pillows:-)

For me it would have to be an RV.  I would hate to carry groceries up to a tree house. smile

In an RV you can up and go where you want. An ever changing scenery outside your window.

What about a third choice, a boat?

I lived in an RV for 2 years. First year we traveled which was awesome. The second year we built a monster home because I was claustrophobic from the RV. Now all I do is clean and pay utility bills. So my dream is a small, compact energy efficient home.

Smaller houses are cute. Look up Tiny Texas Homes, if you are interested in tiny homes that are adorable. But I need something that has more room that a Tiny Texas Home. Hmmm... A tree house or an RV... Considering that a tree house doesn't have a kitchen or bathroom, I'm going with the RV.

Whoa, the Tiny Texas Homes are cute:-)

See, that's my logic, too.  The RV is already 'ready-to-go' in that sense.
