So the coating will protect the floor? What's the sealer called? I was thinking of using Gorilla Glue to keep the felt pads on, but I'm hoping there is a long lasting solution.
Yes it is the coating. http://www.dorrancewoodfloors.com/basic-coating-fi...
High end cabin style resorts use this product. And here is another link that's helpful http://www.dorrancewoodfloors.com/basic-coating-fi...

How do you get your area rugs to stick down? I keep tripping over the edges.
That's what I do too but only under the furniture and tables. My living and walking space is all clear..
swilliams, I wrote how I get the rugs to stay in place. Trim to fit, carpet tack in place. Once the heavy item is on top, carpets stay in place.
Hi Rachael O. My dining table used to sit on an area rug. I wish I could show you a picture the edges just flip up. It's very annoying and it looks stupid. I really don't know how else to describe it. The corners of the rug just curl up.
I trimmed the rug to almost fit, so there is nothing hanging out bottom of each furniture leg. Our furniture is oak, so carpet tacks worked for me. One leg I used 4 panel nails bec when hubby made the coffee table, the wood thickness was different.
