I don't see why it matters who makes more in the relationship. If someone is touchy about the subject, then their significant other should sit down and talk to them about it. But in my relationship with my husband, if I was making more money, I don't think he'd have a problem with it. He'd probably be excited that we could afford more luxuries of every day life, not bother with the fact that I'm a woman and he's a man.

I think it will probably fluctuate if you are with someone long term. One of you will make more money for a while, then it will switch. But it should not matter.

Hello, I would say it is not important who makes the most money in a relationship. Personally it seems that those with the most valuable skills in the relationship be allowed to rarn their best income.
My wife makes much more than I, she is highly qualified as a teacher and I do not feel intimidated by that.
I contribute what I can, to help out so it works out. The relationship is more than monetary value as to contributions.

As my husband said when I read him this question -- whoever can. I earn more, I built my own business, and I am working on the launch of a training course that has some amazing potential. He's just fine with that, and has no problem whatsoever with working for me as editorial back-up. He even gave me the better office chair tongue.
