Is there a freelancing site with a sort of reverse bid process?

Is there a website out there that would work in the reverse way to how most freelance websites work? What I mean is instead of someone posting a job and then people bid for it, could you post something and say you have written an article on such and such a subject, and have people bid on it, and then one of those people would then get that article for their website or ezine, etc.? Just curious.

Basically you're looking for the ebay of freelanced writing? I haven't heard of any because of the complications in the copyright and licensing laws. You could always release your content in eBook form and list that people can use the content for whatever purposes they desire after they buy it.

The difference between what you're asking and this is that you'd maintain original authorship rights, which if you're hired to do a job, your boss would likely get those rights. If you do the job first, and then offer them, you'd need a fancier contract between the parties to ensure all rights are passing. You'd probably make more money just publishing the content yourself and getting advertising/publishing/affiliate profits from the content.

You're right. I've had a look at Constant Content, which was suggested by Brilqntin, and over a longer period, some of my articles really could make more in the way of advertising, with adsense alone.

Him, isn't Constant Content close to what you are looking for? For writing only, though - not other freelance services...

Agreed, Constant Content lets you name your price for your writing.

Yeah, you might be right. I had a look at it now. I've heard of it before but haven't ventured there until now. I know from having read some about it that one's writing has to be top notch to even be considered.

It's true. Writing does have to be top notch there and you will have to be able to accept rejections and revisions. The good thing is though it has a solid reputation which means you can earn more.

There is the "hourlies" site where you can post what you will do for how much.  It is located at peopleperhour.com That site lets you list anything which is cool.  It's not bidding per se, but you set a price and time limit.

I read about that site just now. Thanks for your answer.
