Do you think people from other countries can help make your country better?

what I mean is that we all want to think our country is awesome but do you think a person from another country sees things you either don't see or don't want to see about your country?

Yes, I suppose so. Though it can be difficult to be objective. I try to view every opinion with an open mind.

Sure...Great question...First of I love living in this country...been here 24 years from Ireland....I think what has and still is making this a great place to live is the influx of new thinking from other countries. After all that is how this country really started...I have always looked upon it as the suburbs of europe.

If you want to see how well a plant is growing you have to look at the root. If it is being well fed it will multiply .Of course now and then some bad nutrients get in but dealing with them correctly sometimes makes it stronger.

This country is like a brain it needs new ideas to keep growing and I love being part of that or for that mater a great  quilt that keeps expanding with colors and stories..

    Ok Done...great Question Thanks for asking...Mike :0)

I'm positive that what used to make the U.S. and Canada great is exactly what you are talking about - "fresh eyes."

I'd imagine the same could be true now, but there seems to be a monopoly over information, and conflicting views of anything seem to be nearly criminalized.

Well obviously America wouldn't be what it is without people from other countries. This country is made up of people from everywhere, and everyone influences it in some way.

Some may prefer to keep to their communities, but even that has an effect as others enter that community to find shops and restaurants. And through the generations people usually end up blending with the rest of the country, with means we all learn from them and change, as well as change who they are.

It may not make everyone happy to think that their culture will get watered down over the years, but without that why be here in the first place?

Human beings are naturally loyal to things they were born into...which is why we can kill each other over religion and politics. I would love to hear some constructive criticism from another country's citizens who have tackled a particular problem which the U.S. is having difficulty: infant mortality, educations, drugs, prison overpopulations, etc. What works for one nation may not work for another, such is why comparative research is so vital.
