   Should Google (YouTube) remove the video (Islam/Mohammed) that supposedly led to anti-US violence?
   
   Should they remove the video as "hate-speech", remove it because of the violent demands of radical muslims or is this protected by our value of free speech and it should be allowed to be made/shown/seen?
   
   What about other videos or internet depictions that mock or criticize religion (just Islam or other religions, as well)…Should they all be treated the same way? How?

   no they shouldn't remove it. it is a movie, made from freedom of speech and just because a bunch of religious fanatics don't like it, too bad. if anything, it should be promoted.

      I am sorry to say that I disagree with your thoughts. I bet you cannot upload a video against queen of England otherwise even your ip will be blocked by YouTube. To hurt feelings of more than one billion people is against true "freedom of speech" .

      kathryn1000, there are plenty of videos and shows and parodies and other crap that makes fun of Jesus. I never see thousands of christians burn things and kill people. You know why? Because christianity preaches peace and Islam does not.

      Insulting and assaulting are two different things. Insulting does not harm my faith as a christian at all. Telling me I'm stupid, or jesus is a joke or other shit will not make you change anything.

   Yes they should remove it. To hurt someone's feelings and beliefs is something out of manners and against true meanings of freedom of speech. It is like I cannot and I should not be allowed to abuse anyone just because I have "freedom of speach".

      Most Muslims are not wicked people.Christians  killed many in the Crusades..would Jesus have wished for that?
      Freedom of speech does not permit men to abuse their wives or neighbours.It's called abuse.

      That is an over simplification.Xtians did much harm inn the past to Islam...with the excuse we wanted Jerusalem to be ours...they killed thousands in the Crusades and memories last.We need to see the point of view of the mainstream Muslims,

      Nothing called radical Islam. We as Muslims do believe in Jesus Christ and he is mentioned in our holy book as messenger whose message has been replaced by Islam.However my religion does not allow me to insult or contempt him.

      Jerusalem was Jewish then Christian way before the Muslims came in and killed almost anyone. Its unfathomable the ignorance of people. The Crusades were an attempt to regain lost territory. If you are going to be ignorant don't comment.

   I have not seen the video but YouTube does have terms already.  If they keep it on it means they think it is okay.  As far as the Muslims being violent some of them seem to use any excuse.  Not all of them but enough of them seem to think it is okay to kill people for saying or doing something they do not like.  It is like a person insulting Gandhi and having a group of people go on a killing spree.  If you don't know who Gandhi is he promoted peace.  My point is that I don't think Mohammed would want people to kill in his name.  Not that I really know anything about him except what I heard on TV.
   
   Personally I don't think the movie should have been made but I don't think people should kill over it either.  Taking the movie down would not help now.

      you are absolutely right Mohammed would never want people to kill in his name.We have learned this from his teaching and behavior but the fanatics are found anywhere and there are non-muslims who killed  foreigners just for racial reasons.

   YouTube and Google's policies have nothing to do with Free Speech.  If they choose to remove the video, it will not be because the government is telling them they cannot play it.  The First Amendment protects a speaker from action by the government, not from consequences of that speech.  It is well within the rights of YouTube and Google to remove the video if it violates their terms of use.  They are not keeping the filmmakers from their right to free speech, they are simply not allowing themselves to be used as a platform for that speech.

   NO!  Freedom of expression is essential to progress.  If a group of delusional, brainwashed fanatics...acting like spoiled children, gets their way every time they throw a violent tantrum, where is that going to lead?
   
   It's not the film that is making these Muslims act this way.  It is their psychotic beliefs, and the indoctrinated sensitivity to their childish, psychotic beliefs.
   
   I have seen many things on the Internet that offends my heritage.  Sometimes I get extremely angered at the vile accusations and heartless vitriol, but I still must defend their right to express their views.
   
   There can be no double standard when it comes to freedoms of expression. These violent lunatics simply need to be de-programmed...and grow up!
