   Do Atheists as voters care at all, about what the person running for President's religion is?
   
   After all what if a person running for President is a  Muslim?  A true American, peaceful and truly for the United States of America.  But still a Muslim.  Would that change the minds of the Atheists?

   Not in the least.  I'm not an athiest, but it doesn't matter.  Neither person truly follows their religion.  The Washington game is their religion so it's a non factor whether you're a believer or non believer.   We can turn this around though!

   As an atheist, I don't really care what anybody's religion is as long as it's kept safely away from government policy. A person's religion (or lack of it) isn't what makes them a good or bad person anyway.

   I am not an atheist, I am agnostic, and I don't care what anybody chooses as religion including the president. However, I do care if he or she uses their religion to impact the way they run the country.
   Take abortion for example, everyone is up in arms about it. If our future president says "Well, I'm this religion and we don't believe in abortion so I am outlawing it", I won't vote for him. That's not looking out for everyone, it's not taking into consideration every aspect of every situation where a woman could end up pregnant. This is just one of many examples.
   I don't care what color skin they have, who they pray (or don't pray) to, or what their gender is. I just want someone who will listen and think about things from every point of view and make an honest decision for the American people.

   As an atheist, I know that I will never see a non-believer in the white house. At least, not in my lifetime. So which religion they choose is irrelevant. However, as others have stated, the way they use that religion in their policies can have a big influence on how I vote. For example, if they don't believe in evolution, or global warming, or gay marriage, then they aren't fit to be president. A president has to base their administration on facts, not faith. So I will always follow the candidate who can separate the two.

   For the most part, no. At the same time, I would never vote for anyone who is extremely religious. I want the person who is going to dramatically effect my life over the next 4 years to "take orders" from the people who elected them, not their imaginary friend. Past that, it really doesn't matter.

   As an 'I don't know what I am' I think that if religion plays even the slightest part in someone's choice (no matter what their religious views are) of who they are voting for then that person is extremely ignorant and is voting for entirely the wrong reasons and should not be voting at all.

      Thank you,  I agree with you very much on your answer.  Even though I am a Christian,  I still do not believe any politician should be using his or her religion in any political choice.
