Hillary Clinton announced that she will be running for President in 2016. Do you intend to vote
for Ms. Clinton to be president? Why? Why not?
I will vote for Hilary if no better democrat steps forward. Personally I would prefer Elizabeth Warren, but it's not clear if she will run, or if she could get the proper funding for a nomination.
I would also prefer Elizabeth Warren, but if Hilary is the Democratic candidate, I'll vote for her.
No I won't. Clinton represents the continuation of the Obama's policy. She accepted millions from corporations that invested in her. She will apply their policies. We have to break the mold. And vote for an underdog. Either I will pick an independent or nobody. I had enough of those incompetents. They chose corporations over people than let's corporations vote for them and let see how far they will go...
That's a dangerous line of thinking, there. Think of it like this: A vote for an Independent or for nobody = a vote for Ted Cruz or Rand Paul. And that should give you nightmares.
By independent I meant independent from any lobbies, corporations, big money. I meant someone who has a very long curriculum vitae stating his fervent involvement in the people's cause. I meant someone who has fought and still fighting corporations.
Sometimes you don't have a choice. I don't like Hillary, but if she's the only thing keeping the Republicans out of the White House and out of the Supreme Court, then I'll take it.
Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good (or tolerable).
Only as a last resort. If Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren run as well, I won't even hesitate to throw Hillary under the bus.
"As a last resort" I also will vote for Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, or any progressive Democrat. I believe that if the Republican win the Presidency in 2016 and create a "Political Trifecta". A Republican Federal Government.
If a Republican wins, I am so outta here, whether it be by plane or by handgun. It WILL be the death of the middle class, the death of social freedoms, and the death of the First Amendment. The U.S. will be at-once and firmly dead.
Fantastic! One less liberal we have to worry about. Send me a postcard! lol
I'll send you one, but I don't think the Freedom Thought Police will allow any foreigners or any of their items into the country. That envelope could be smuggling undesirables! It must be shot down in the name of Lord Reagan!
Well, at least if a republican gets elected, you will still have a gun for option number one. I guess that is another way where the 2nd Amendment can help the republicans.
Oh yes, those guns you people keep saying will help fend off the military. The same military, by the way, that you and your ilk keep voting to have engorged with billions more dollars and thousands more tanks. Hope your .45 can take out a Sherman.
I actually don't own a .45, just a shotgun. I am not worried about the government overthrowing the people as long as there are republicans to keep the democrats in check. That is the beauty of checks and balances!
Implying that Republicans somehow aren't the party that demonizes and cripples the poor in favor of their billionaire friends, and also implying that Republicans would hesitate to use military force to eradicate the poor if given the power.
If the Trifecta happens in 2016 and we have a Republican Federal government. WE THE PEOPLE will suffer. Corporations don't need The Constitution or Bill of Rights, just Republican Lawmakers. It will be Governmentlessness forever more. VOTE DEMOCRAT.
Yes, I 4got that Bill, Hillary, & Obama hate billionaires! They don't know a single 1. lol So it was all the little people donating their hard earned money that helped Obama raise a billion. BTW, how much is poor old Bill charging 4 a speech now?
Anyone ever find it suspicious that the lawmakers who try to eliminate the minimum wage and remove elements of the social safety net are all Republicans?
I guess they want the poor to starve to death for their own good?
Not as suspicious as the wealthy democrat politicians that pretend they are champions of the poor. Why would dem try to eliminate poverty since that is their voting base?
Junko, it sounds like u already bought season tickets 4 your favorite team!
The answer is simple: By making the lives of the poor better, those same people will be more likely to vote for the party that helped them out. You don't get votes by keeping poor people poor, because, surprise surprise, they're going to remember--
--the people who fought against them. They're going to remember the Republicans who gutted their paychecks. They're going to remember the Republicans who gave billionaires tax cuts. They're going to remember the Republicans who outsourced their jobs.
BizWhiz I am not politically blind or confused. You should think about how confused you write about Party intent. Think about which party openly support the man with the shotgun and public unions or corporations and police unions.
Theyr going to remember who said Big Business was "too big to fail" and gave them billions of $ in bailout. It is not republicans against democrats. It is us against them. Politicians r all cut from the same cloth.
I'm sorry, remind me again: Which political party was it that believes the earth is only 6000 years old? Which political party denies the insurmountable truth of evolution? Which political party willingly ignores Israel's countless atrocities?
I don't know, ask Stargrrl. She is the resident theologian and democrat. lol
Oh, look! MORE evidence that the GOP is pure evil (as if it wasn't incredibly obvious already):
http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astronom … ences.html
We should start an "Anyone but Hillary" Campaign!
Already happening, check twitter LOL, her campaign was so irked that #WhyIamNotVotingForHillary was trending higher than they were that they deployed bots to get #Hillary2016 to trend up. Smells like, desperation.
lol. she is the best thing to happen to the repubs!
I think she deserves to be President of The U.S. If no one better comes forth then she'll get my vote. Plus, she'll be backed by our down to earth, former Prez Bill.
Deserves? No one has a right to be president, it's not "her turn" the presidency is not some throne that you ascend to because of some right of succession. Good God.
Then if "Bill"is backing her!!!!! What are you talking about? He's a saint? Is this your rationale? Did Bill favor the people? He was lucky because the economic conjuncture was in his favor.
Yes. Yes I'm going to vote for her. Unless the other candidate is better, and I don't think that will be the case.
This is your rationale? The lesser evil? Haven't you have enough of this option? Not voting will have more impact than voting for someone who doesn't represent.
Not voting will only allow the worse candidate to win. The lunatics on the Religious Right will always, always, always vote. If you don't fight against their insanity, then they'll win.
I too am weary of the lesser of two evils, but Zelkiiro is right, apathy is not the answer and leads us into even more danger. I'll hold my nose to do it, but if Hillary gets the nod I'll have no choice but to vote against her opponent.
It depends on the issues that she is addressing. I'm not Democratic so I won't be able to vote in the primaries. If she does get elected is Bill going to be the First Lady?
Not funny at all... Don't you understand that it is a serious matter? Do you want another Obama, another corpora give puppet? Are you a corporation?
There is nothing in this world that will be worse than having Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, or Jeb Bush being anywhere near the White House.
I'll take my chances with Hillary, if that's the only viable alternative.
Personally I though Obama did a good job. And I thought Bill Clinton did a very good job as President even with the Monica thing. Maybe in Rick Santorum tries this time, I may vote for him. But not the others.
I would never vote for her. I think she is an awful person and her husband is even worse. The reality is that he would be running the show and they both would embarrass the heck out of us. The only reason she will get votes is if there is not another viable option for die hard democrats who would never vote for a republican no matter what. Don't believe me? Look at 2008.
2008? You mean when everyone with a functioning brain dropped bricks in their pants at the idea of Sarah Palin even stepping foot into the White House? That sounds like a damn good reason to vote Democrat to me.
Not voting shows the strong disagreement of the American electorate. If you keep on voting those incompetent, you will agree with their choice. Aren't you fed up of being manipulated. Either they pick our candidate or we don't vote. No more manipulat
That's not how it works. That's never been how it works. Do you WANT military-state theocratic lunatics like Ted Cruz in the White House? Because that's how you get military-state theocratic lunatics like Ted Cruz in the White House.
No, Zelk. I mean when she was the democrat DARLING and going 2 b the 1st female president, then someone from a more oppressed minority stepped in and won. I guess the ace of spades beats the queen of hearts.
I am not an American so, I can't vote in an US election, but I image how she perform as Secretary of State can be a reference, to what so of President she would be. It would definitely be interesting, if Hiltary Clinton is elected, we would have a married couple both served as Emperor of the most powerful country in the world,
How she performed as SoS is she ignored pleas for more security in Benghazi, left 4 people to be murdered, blamed it on a You Tube video and then said "What difference does it make?" There is your performance reference.
Unfortunately, the US "democracy" reflects upon all western democracies. Only Island is close to perfect democracy. It was the only country that ousted its banisters.
Yes, I am definitely voting. And I will flip the lever for the Republican candidate for president, no matter who he or she is.
I have been voting for presidents going all the way back to 1968, and I have never voted for a Democrat and I never will.
In my opinion, the worst Republican in the world is better than any Democrat. And one of the reasons why I feel that way is, opposite of the case when it comes to a Democratic president, no Republican president has ever ordered two powerful nuclear bombs to be dropped on thousands of innocent civilians (remember Harry Truman, D-MO?)
Welcome back to Hubpages, you were sorely missed!
Grace, thank you very much for welcoming me back. However, I am not "fully back" yet. I'm just warming up and getting ready to put on the "Big Show" that I am developing.
I'm pretty sure I'd vote for a rusty shovel before Killary Shillton. I haven't finished my research into the views of all the Republican candidates, but the last several decades of voting trends indicate that a Republican is going to win it.
It'll be an even easier task if H.C. doesn't just drop out. She doesn't stand a chance.
It seems that rather than searching out and backing a female candidate who could actually be a good, qualified president and an inspiring role model for future generations, the Democrat party is instead dredging the bottom of the barrel for anything with a vagina.
I will most definitely NOT be voting for "her!!" Why? Because quite fortunately I am blessed with an excellent brain, solid morals, common sense, respect for my fellow Americans, loyalty and pride in our Country. I have all my senses and faculties in fine condition. I can see and hear & identify a LIAR, phony, sneaky, greedy, and totally untrustworthy individual .....which describes Ms HC to a Tee.
Sure, a woman in the White House may be a nice thing.....but at what cost? Just how much MORE damage are we able to tolerate? The fact that she is female means nothing more than she is one of the only 2 sexes we have. Odds.....we all deal with that.
I am not willing to gamble every last thing our Country has stood for since it began.....because of some idiotic notion that we need a woman as President. Certainly not the poor excuse of a woman she represents.
Where ever she lives (any or ALL of her residences) she can have them painted WHITE. That's as close as she will ever get to being in any White House, if we have any hope or luck at all.
I wouldn't go so far as to kill myself as someone here mentioned. We won't have to do ourselves in.....she will do that for us, quickly & easily if she's in charge!
Hilary fans.....Please, I beg of you. Snap out of it. Thank you.
I DON'T trust her with a ten foot pole. Hillary is a totally irreputable person.

her? Why? Why not? Ms. Clinton seem to have the best qualifications for president. She also has political experience and is a quite savvy person?

Democrats/Progressives: Are you supporting Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders for President? And Why?
by Dr Billy Kidd 10 years ago
Both Clinton and Bush have been patiently waiting their turns to be president. The powers that be--the millionaires and billionaires--support them. So it's pretty much a done deal. So how will you vote? And why would you vote for either Jeb or Hillary for president?
by Grace Marguerite Williams 8 years ago
There are people who strongly contend that the witch hunt against Hillary Clinton regarding past scandals & e-mail escapades are because she is a woman. They maintain that Hillary Clinton is more than qualified to be President of the United States. They maintain that Hillary Clinton...

Would you vote for Hillary Clinton if she runs for President in 2016? Why?Does a Tiger change it's stripes? Now-retired general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary when she worked on the Watergate investigation, says Hillary’s history of lies and...
