How many firearms do you currently own? Out of those, how many would you say you're skilled to use?

I currently have my CPL and a couple of handguns. But with the current ammo shortage, I'm finding myself lacking practice to keep my edge. Is there anyone else out there in this situation?

Two. 9 mil and shotgun. I'm not happy with the shotgun but my hubby wanted one. The 9 is my little one. I'm skilled with mine, but the shotgun... I really don't want to fire. What I desire next is a rifle. The ammo shortage doesn't bother me as much. We only go to the shooting range once every two months. Each time we go to Louisiana (2-3 times a year), we pick up all the ammo we need. Sometimes it's even on sale. Depends on if you go before or after Christmas too.

Wow, I'm impressed that you can still find ammo anywhere for your 9. Every store in my state seems to be out! I'm conserving what I have and kicking myself for not getting more when I had the chance!

      Try Louisiana or Texas.

Yes, ammo, and components are very hard to come by these days. I have been trained in the use of a number of firearms by my husband who is former military and law enforcement. I am comfortable around most. I don't care for automatic pistols, I prefer a revolver.

Personally, I own a S & W .22 10 shot revolver which is much more fun to shoot for target practice than something "louder."  Got it for Christmas. i have no idea of the model number.

Really? I'm just the opposite about handguns, I prefer automatic - I dunno why. I guess I just prefer concept of the clips! smile

I own one for home protection period. It is a .40 millimeter hand gun. I have gone to target ranges many, many times and consider myself highly proficient.

Awesome! That seems to be the general response - comfortable with using it. I think I'm a pretty good shot, but it's been a while since I practiced...only one box of ammo left
