What happened to the concept of .........LIBERAL?  What has Liberal become for better or for worse?

Has Liberal become Radical, or even Leftist? Why? Why not?

To paraphrase Sargon of Akkad, we are seeing the rise of the authoritarian left. Instead of agreeing to disagree but being willing to fight for one's right to hold that opposing views (classical liberalism), authoritarian leftists say you only have the right to agree with me because we're so right, peace, love and tolerance - so we can't tolerate dissenting views.
Then they hate mob people online and increasingly physically attack people who disagree with them, even minor factual challenges to official narratives. Think of classic feminist icons attacked for saying a guy with a penis and breasts shouldn't get the women's awards as well as guys getting men's awards, or fighting over transgenders dominating women's fashion because of political trends. Or women who try to challenge honor killlings and spousal abuse in Islam while being attacked as Islamophobic for challenging the narrative that Islam is perfect.
In terms of physical violence, Ben Shapiro, Laura Southern and Milo Yianapolis (sp?) have all been physically attacked when speaking or interviewing for being conservative. Then there is official left wing support for the violence, from colleges making Milo hire security before telling them not to interfere while the speaker is slapped sitting on stage to San Jose police told not to protect Trump supporters as rocks and eggs are thrown at them by the left under the guise of "the right incited the violence by supporting Trump". When the state lets you get away with physical violence, of course the attackers are emboldened to do more.
