What do you think about Hillary told FBI that Colin Powell adviced her to use private email?

Does this new revelation change your opinion of Hillary and Colin Powell?

    So what!

In his memoir, “It Worked for Me,” Powell writes about his personal email, and he has taken pride in having tried to advance the antiquated technology practices at the State Department. But his use of personal email and Mrs. Clinton’s are not the same. Powell did not have a server at his house or rely on outside contractors, as Mrs. Clinton did at her home in Chappaqua, N.Y.

A State Department inspector general report released in May said that Mr. Powell and other senior officials had used personal email accounts for official business, but that by the time Mrs. Clinton took office the rules were clear that using a private server in such a manner was neither allowed nor encouraged because of “significant security risks.”

I can hear Hillary now, Risks? What are they, you mean "like wiping with a cloth?" This is a woman anyone would want running our country?

For Hillary to liken what she did to what Colin Powell advised her to do is ludicrous and in itself constitutes an effort to lie and obfuscate the truth.

I agree, yet why is Colin Powell taking her side and supporting her and helping her? He is a smart man and to fall on the sword for her is just boggles my mind. Btw, he is no Republican but a RINO.

Jack,he supported Obama for President, twice.Actions are what you judge on not rhetoric. He was only republican because it helped his career, just like all the congressmen who say they are conservatives, their not, they say it to get that vote.

Hillary knew exactly what she was doing with the private server. She did it to avoid the FOIA requests. Unfortunately, we have intelligent and good people like Powell and Comey and others making excuses for her and covering for her...

Colin Powell turned democrat when he left the gov.
Hillary is the Queen and Colin is one of her many knights, so falling on the sword is his duty.

    Jack
I guess her answer is one step below, the devil made me do it.
It wouldn't change the facts even if president Obama told her to do it. In which case, he would be wrong in telling her, and she would be wrong in implementing it.

Do we want a president that takes bad advice without getting more inputs from other people. So if Colin Powell says that pres Clinton should nuke Wash DC because of whatever reason will she do that.

The two are not so unrelated as the private email server was a breach of national security. If a secret service agent hired a private guard to do his job to protect the president, does it matter that the president didn't get assassinated? Or is the act itself enough to discipline, or even fire that agent?

Unfortunately, my opinion was already low on Colin Powell when he left the government, so this didn't change my opinion, it only reinforced it.

Great pt Brad, wonder how much of Powell's advice she took. That's right,it was his advice she vote for the Iraq war, right? She took it,how can you say she didn't,it was his presentation that made the case,so now not blame Bush, blame Powell

These so called email "issues" are puny.
As there is nothing else to pick on the rabid tea party types are banging on about emails. Trivial. All our emails are an open book to even a high school hacker let alone by personally invited Russian hackers.
    Emails shemails. So what??
I note again that barely a word is mentioned about Trumps underage rape allegations.

Despite of what the media and the FBI and the Clinton's say, those emails and the contents of emails are relevant and important. They are the crux of the FOIA looking into what really happen in Benghazi. The distraction has been to make light of it.

This is the same woman who blames " right wing conspiracies" for her husbands sexual assualts/rapes on women. Who also blamed a stupid video for the Benghazi attacks and is now blaming Colin Powell for her irresponsible use of email servers?

Remember, Hillary wants responsibility over all Americans...

Not true, and doesn't matter. Information handling guidelines say secret data only gets handled via secure channels, and she set up a private server to handle classified data outside those channels AND had subordinates type up and email classified data to unclassified servers in violation of the training they receive before getting clearance and all people with clearance are reminded of at annual security briefings.

I know because I worked in classified IT for a decade.

I agree, this other stuff seems just like diversion tactics. I wish the media would focus on the important stuff like what exactly is in her emails regarding handling of Benghazi incident?
