Human cloning

I was in a chat and we started talking about nano tech and then on to human cloning.. you tube has some videos, then I thought a bout a female politician we have and the likelyhood of her being lesbian, which is not a bad thing, but could this be a stepping stone to try and get us to accept cloning?

Off the wall thought, but with chemical companies such high profit makers and often politicians have hidden shares etc... plus objectives of their own or of those that they represent..

Lol it makes sense, lawyers usually represent clients, therefore, who do lawyers in parliament work for?  Maybe the mind is overworking, or maybe its not?

What on earth does the sexual orientation of a politician have with cloning?
And if you listen to some theories, cloning has already happened, just quietly so that no one knows about it.
But the point is moot anyway - unlike the movies we can't "fastgrow" a person. If you were30 and made a clone, that clone would be 30 when you were 60 - unless cloned at birth it would be next to impossible to pull off an exact replica.

As LarasMama has written above, sexuality and human cloning are two entirely different topics.

If a person gave DNA in order that a clone might be made from it - as has been achieved many times already with farm animals of various species - the new body would still have to be grown from scratch, as has already been achieved with human skin and other organs.

Perhaps you might like to run a Google search on pioneering work by Ray Kurzweil or Aubrey de Grey for greater insight into nanomedicines and related technologies.
