Matt, this is a really good question and I think our first reaction is always yes. And we start of with that by pointing at something very real like a book on a table. Easy and safe to say it is real. But when you start asking folks what color, how thick, title and author it becomes clear that details are left to perspective. So I am leaning on the conclusion that the most real things in this life are, how we feel and what we believe. If you think about it, those are the only things that are completely real to us.
Hi Matt M.
I love the question. People write big books on this topic.
The "true reality" does exist as the true reality. It is what It is. What I mean is for there to be a "true reality" it must be exact in all aspects. It has nothing to do with human concepts and feelings. The "true reality" is beyond.
I will do my best to explain:
I time could freeze for a moment and we could step out side of existence. ( I know not possible because we would still have to exist), anyway. We would be able to see all the galaxies, stars, asteriods, planets, moons, life forms, etc. I by some way possible we could see every detail of existence with "perfect" vision. We would know the "true reality" on a physical level at that piont in time. What is gion on in the minds and hearts of the living entities is another story.
Or let me explain it this way:
If we took a movie and froze a particular scene we could see the "true reality" as far as our eyes could see and our instruments could measure. We still would not konw the minds of the eneities in the scene, but that will also be part of the true reality. It will all exist, but with such limited ability we would not beable to percieve the "true reality".
I have left out the time element, because that will only complicate matters further. I hope my writing was not too hard to follow.
Concnusion: There is a true reality. The only way to know what it is a being would have to be omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and infallable in all respects.

Do you think that belief in something requires thinking it is real?If not, please explain how one would go about believing in something one does not think to be real if no clear physical evidence for it exists.

How do you know any of this is actually real?"What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain."- Morpheus , The Matrix.I also read a study that...

Is there such a thing as 'Truth'?I've come across a heated issue lately... Is there such a thing as objective truth - that is, certain aspects of reality that stand alone and require nothing else to be 'true'? Or is all so-called truth entirely subjective - that is, it depends on someone to believe...

why do people find it so hard to believe there is a God? or that there is a supernatural realm? yet we here about demons and supernatural activity and feel a kind of natural drawing towards these things and I guess we dismiss it because we fear the unknown... yet our spirits know its real!!! anyone...
