I am a little confused as to the practices of JW's. I have lived beside one now for almost 3 yrs and
she is always drinking to the point where she gets drunk and has actually caused greif for many of the other neighbors in the apt complex. So much that she has had many complaints made about her to management and has even had the cops called on her. I know we are considered to be The Others as we are Christians ourselves. They call themselves Christians but don't believe in the Trinity. This confuses me also? Why are they so rude to people who are not JW's. I didn't have much of an opinion of them before I met her but she has set a very bad example of what they stand for!
Most Christian religions consider the JW's a cult since as you say they do not believe in the Trinity.
As far as your neighbor goes, whether Christian or not, we are all human beings and have horrible failings and alcohol must be hers. What a horrible substance to be slave to.
I do agree that alcohol is a horrible substance to be victim to as at one time I was also. I have been sober for 3 yrs now and of course being a Christian has taught me forgiveness and understanding, although I admit I don't understand why she is so rude. Since we are right beside her we get the brunt of it and have tried our hardest to be patient. She also has a small dog that she allows to bark constantly and whenever she has fellow cult members over they sit on the balcony and gossip about other people. We have asked her several times to try to keep her dog quiet and instead she will coax him even further. Are all JW's like her in general or is she just a bad example? She told us a year ago that she was meeting with the Elders regarding her drinking but nothing has changed. We are struggling with how to deal with her as a neighbor and are at the point of moving. I am wondering if the property manager is also a JW as she has had far too many complaints made from several people and nothing has come of that either. How do you deal with a neighbor like that?
Some of the nicest people I know are "JW's," Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists, agnostics, pagans, etc. -- and some of the worst people I know are "JW's," Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists, agnostics, pagans, etc.
