   How do you feel about this quotation from Mother Teresa?

   I think the first part is a renewed expression of her trust in God. As for the second part, I see it as some kind of doubt and humility about her ability to carry the workload facing her. But in the end, we all know she did fine.

   This is true expression of humility and confidence. Many people are defeated before they even begin to deal with a difficult situation or problem. Having confidence that you can deal with the situation is tremendous power. That confidence comes from the conviction that God has confidence in you. He gave you the problem to solve because He trusts you to do it and He also enables you.
   Wonderful quote; I like it.

   She was probably tired and wearing out.  At what point in her life did she say this?  She did quite a lot of work for God and in quite dire circumstances and setting.  Sometimes, when we are tired we don't think we can take on one more task or responsibility and then we somehow get it accomplished.  And, then, because we completed the task, another one is given to us with the expectation that somehow we will get it done.  But, sometimes, we just want a break and not the trust and assumption that we can do another task.  Can't God give it to another to accomplish?  I would imagine this is how Sister Thesesa was feeling.  What I liked so much about her was her ability to connect with the everyday person and understand how the 'little guy' feels.  She expressed this so many times in her magnificent life.

      if you have the chance,Read her book :COME BE MY LIGHT - THE PRIVATE WRITINGS OF THE SAINT OF CALCUTTA. A very accurate account of her daily struggles and doubts  written unedited by her spiritual adviser. She is very human after all.

   I can tell you this a lot of the bad things that happen to us is not God doing it to us it's us doing it to ourselves because we don't put our trust on him sometimes God is just waiting there looking at us struggle waiting for us to take action and do something so he could act!!!

    Mother Teresa was an inspiration. I respect and admire her. I love the quote. I think of it often when I am going through a hard time.

    One quote taken as a stand alone expression, no matter how beautiful, no matter how profound, no matter how touching is misleading.
    
    I think everyone heard of Mother Theresa and when we say Mother Theresa we almost mean a Saint, which she probably was.
    
    I never knew too much about her and I was never fond of people of God, religious people, but she was somehow different.  Her work to me was enough to respect and admire her.
    
    It still is.  But because she is so famous, I could not pass an article about her crisis of faith.

    We never know enough, but I have never believed that great stories are simple stories.  And I am for one, believe in saying what you think.  Not being wrong or right, but having courage in staying true to your beliefs.  Maybe God thinks that I can handle it.

    She was a very wise person. She was Albanian from Skopja and at the age of 12 announced that because she wanted to help people, she was going to be a nun. I don't like it when the late Lady Dianna is compared to Mother Theresa. Although Lady Dianna died under unfortunate circumstances and had several charities going, she cannot be compared to the poor woman who had decided to devote all her life to helping the poor.
    When she was first sent to India by the Catholic church, she taught at a Catholic school but quickly made up her mind to leave the school and devote herself to the poor (she was 19). All she had was whatever money she was given as a nun and the love for people.

    God helps those who help themselves. It is a matter of having a strong will power. This strength helps people to face every hurdle and when we try our best to fight out all the odds then obviously God helps to come out of it. Those who happen to blame God and their fate for every odd and show no effort to come out of it then it is natural to be in deep distress.
    
    Mother Teresa never ran away from the duties came in her way and naturally more and more people approached her for shelter. God knows about the strength of His every child and thus distributes duties accordingly. God' s trust is never baseless and Mother Teresa showed her modesty in her saying.

    Mother Teresa was expressing a fond sentiment, like many good servants of God. She did what she could but knew that life is fraught with many trials. This reminds me of Luke 12:48: "Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more."

    The thing with God, i think is that the more He trusts you, then the more responsibilities He will give you.
    
    Unfortunately we are human and sometimes we just want to crawl somewhere and disappear for a while as opposed to handling those responsibilities.
    
    It is those times that we get an inner burst of energy (from God, i think) to help us weather the storms.Later on you will look back and think, how did i survive this?
