What do you think is the motive behind terrorism? Is it linked to religions in any way?
Terrorism doesn't have a religion, they say, but why is that most of the Terrorists are Muslims? Is it merely co-incidental? Do you think there is any religiously motivated reason behind terrorism?
PS: I'm not anti-muslim. I respect all religions equally. But I'm intrigued as to why that most of the terrorists are Muslims. I know, not every Muslim is a terrorist, and this act of terrorism is giving them a bad name.
It is a strange thing about religion and terrorism. Here is the scenario as I understand it. Faith is something that troubled people turn to. Most find solace and rejuvenation in it. Some cannot really let go and believe in the unseen. They do not get release from their troubles in faith. Maybe too impatient like a young person is want to be.
Some people have an agenda of hate. Some of them want to proliferate their hate. Hate is a huge motivating factor for those who do hate. Getting a young person motivated by hate offers them a release from their troubles. They can blame it on someone or something. Faith has not worked like a formula and instantly. Anyone can see that the young in a faith are easy targets for creating hate to solve troubles.
Much of the Arab world is Muslim. Much of the Arab world is troubled. Many youth in the Arab world are looking for a release from their troubles. If you are looking for solutions and some hater comes along and shows you one, what are you going to do? Continue praying and hoping for solutions or take action and facilitate solutions? You have already been born into and witnessed violence so it is an acceptable solution.
The religion is just a side attraction. It is not the cause of the problems. It is just a place to find people looking for solutions to their troubles. Give them an easy one and off you go, mix it in with some suggestion of holiness and there you go double.
Did I mention that the haters are also crazy?
Did I mention that the same kind of tactic was used without religion? Sure communism after WWII was on the backs of recruited malcontent youngsters who drank the koolaid and believed in communism. Stalin and Pol Pot did not commit what they did with old people.
Christians in Egypt and Africa live in fear of violence by Muslims stirred up at the Friday mosque prayers called to kill the infidels. There is no equivalent to this in Christianity.
I don't think most terrorists are Muslim. The media is only calling extremists from the Middle East terrorists when they commit acts of violence, but what about that white kid who shot up a black Baptist church a while back? He was racially motivated and wanted to instill fear in other black people - the very essence of what terrorism seeks to do. Technically, that kid is a terrorist, but the word sounds a lot scarier when you attach it to brown people with a misunderstood religion that are coming from a region of horrible socio-political unrest.
Of the 335 official terrorist attacks in 2015 worldwide, 310 of them were carried out by either Islamic groups or a lone Muslim. That’s over 92%.
Muslims are killing people going about their daily lives in the most horrific way possible in order to create the sense of terror and desperation, so that people will convert to Islam in the hope of making it stop.
This is an economic move, since terrorist acts require far less effort and loss of believers than a military invasion.
And this is kosher with the Koran (pun intended). Mohammed was a war lord, invaded villages to kill men and enslave women and children, cheerleaded those who killed his critics, and had at least one Jewish sex slave he raped the night after he killed her father and husband.
Koran spread across Arabia within several years, North Africa and much of the Middle East within decades entirely by war. Indonesia is the exception that it was converted almost entirely by missionaries to Islam.
Tamara could you provide the evidences for whatever you said about Muhammad? And about the spreading of Koran?
Terrorism has historically been related to political power with its forces. Even though there is association to religion apparent today, political gains are the goals. Becoming the dominant power with force over peoples, regions, societies and culture. Seeking a cause to change some established governmental form to become an alternative desired one is at task.
Extremist Christians that bombed abortion clinics are an example of political goals. Supremacy issues of any race over the other with acts of terrorism seek change politically motivated. Terrorism even exists between terrorist with different political ideologies like that of the rivalry of ISIS and the Taliban.
Read the quran it says to kill infidels which are non believers. If that isn't terrorism then what is? The quran should be made illegal, it is clearly hate speech and inciting hate crime! People are just too liberal nowadays.
