Jesus Had Lots Of Beard. Should It Be Considered A Sin For A Man To Shave His Beard?

    How do you know?

He may well have been clean shaven. It's doubtful in the extreme that Jesus looked anything like Robert Powell.

So I say do what you like with your facial hair.

That is one of the silliest questions ever - Jesus didn't drive a car, so are all drivers sinners?

But he rode a donkey, think of the Christmas children's  Christmas Carol, 'Little Donkey', they say that poor little donkey died of on the way to Eygpt.

Jesus said that the two most important commandments are to love God and to love others (he also explains that in order to love others you must love yourself.) To sin is to simply fall short in one of those categories, so shaving is fine.

Leviticus 14:9   But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
-Some shaving was done for cleanliness sake.

Leviticus 21:5   They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh, nor print any marks upon them.
-Some shaving was not done because it was part of a pagan system.

Numbers 6:9   And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall he shave it.
-Some shaving was done for sanitation to prevent disease.

It doesn't matter what a person looks like, although someone with tattoos of snakes all over them might have a bit of a dilemma, lol. God looks to the heart of man to determine his worth.

Some parts of the bible contradict each other, that part says shave, another say's, sometime you can shave, some other parts says, never shave, my goodness, do what you want, but you can be clean and still be hairy.

If I had never shaved my face in my 66 years of life, I think I would have had a beard like those Muslum Mullas you see, mine would have been very long and thick, probably half way down my stomach.  I have occasionally not bothered to shave my sideboxers, after a month they become very thick and uncomfortable, so if I went a year without shaving, let a lone 50 or so years, I would have a very long thick beard.   I have a very quick thick hair growth all over, for example I have had very hairy legs since I was 14, hairy chest, arms, shoulders since about 16 or 17, unshaved, untrimmed pubic hair as well, I have never touched 1 hair since they started when I was 13, in the days of Jesus there might have been some primitive type of razor blade, but I think most men in those days probably never shaved anything off themselves at all.  No it is not considered a sin for a man to shave, of course not, unless you are a member of the Taliban in Afganistan,  there young men are not allowed to shave at all.   I wonder if I had been born in Afganistan I would probably be quite proud of my thick beard never ever having shaved at all, my beard would actually start just under my eyes, a part where most men do not have bristles, I also have very bushy eyebrows, although they are not as thick as they used to be.  My monobrow eyebrows meet at the top of my nose spreading left and right above my eyes to finish a little right and left along the top.  Since I become older I notice that I have developed very hairy ears, not some people might worry about that, but I have hairy ears just because the rest of my body is hairy as well, so I am not too worried about that as well.  I have some hair on my feet and knuckles, again that is just a extension of my hairy legs and arms.  I remember many years ago in a park on a warm day, I stripped down to the waist to get my body a bit of a suntan, I was with a couple of ladies, they gasped when I stripped of, "O my goodness you have a hairy chest like a werewolf" I said to them, so what, I don't mind being hairy, another time at work one of my work colleges tried to cut the hair off of my very hairy bushy shoulders with a hedgetrimmer, I was not too happy about him doing that, but It just proved how hairy I was on my shoulders, he exclaimed to me that I was as hairy as f**k at my chest and shoulders.   Despite all that attention I have never trimmed any hairs of myself ever, except my face and head hair. So guys if you are hairy,be proudl
