I like designer perfume as much as the next woman, but I don't want to pay the price that's usually included. Luckily, I can often find discount designer perfume. When you’re trying to decide on a gift for a woman, perfume or cologne is hard to beat! Every woman I know likes to “smell pretty,” and wearing a great fragrance makes us feel feminine and sexy. Women appreciate getting this romantic gift for Valentine’s Day, Christmas, birthday, Mothers’ Day, anniversary, or just as a special way to say “I love you.” Unfortunately, with all the perfumes on the market today, the average male shopper is often intimidated and confused when trying to select a fragrance as a gift for his significant other.

Below are some of the most popular perfumes for women, including traditional favorites, along with a couple of new scents that are making a big splash. As a dedicated perfume wearer, I’ve personally tested all these fragrances and would not hesitate to recommend any of them. Most of these are readily avialable at higher-end department stores and boutiques, but online prices are almost always lower, from my shopping experience.

 This new fragrance is a mixture of strawberry, mango, grapefruit, freesia, amber, and musk.  This sweet, light, edgy fragrance is a favorite with younger women and teens. My daughters love the scent, as well as the "tattoo bottle" it comes in.

This is a modern fragrance of florals, vanilla, cedar, and almonds. The scent is light, elegant, and feminine, without being overpowering. I found this to be a wonderful fragrance for daytime wear.

 I was amazed to find this old favorite on Amazon! It’s one of my favorite perfumes, and I’ve searched for it everywhere, in vain. Safari is a perfect blend of orange, mandarin, patchouli, rose, hyacinth, jasmine, narcissus, sandalwood,  black currant, cedar, and amber. Those dedicated to Safari will be delighted to receive this hard-to-find favorite!

This elegant fragrance is light yet long lasting, so just a touch on the pulse points will last for hours.

The long-lasting fragrance is best described as exotic, warm, and sensual. I found it to be truly luxurious!

 This is another popular fragrance that has withstood the test of time. Opium is exotic and rich, with an air of mystery. It combines the heady scents of spices, florals, tangerine, plum, myrrh, castoreum,  sandalwood, and cedar. When I wear Opium, I always feel sexy and a bit daring!

This is my all-time favorite fragrance! I’ve tried other scents by Giorgio, but in my opinion, they pale in comparison to the original. The sweet smell is truly intoxicating and long lasting without being cloying or overpowering. I get more compliments on this perfume than on any other I’ve ever worn - especially from men!

 This is my second-favorite perfume of all, and definitely my favorite of all the Estee products. My husband chose this for me several years ago because he found the light floral scents so alluring. I concur – it truly is beautiful!
