I'm a Mac and Windows 7 is my Idea!

I wanted a more secure, faster, simpler operating system.

Hello, I was just thinking about myself and I was admiring my best technology features. I decided that I am elegant, streamlined, fast, and packed full of fabulous features for a computer software operating system. My look is incredible and I can read your mind and complete tasks long before you think of them.

But I wanted to be better, faster, and easier. I wanted all new features to stun and make people marvel at my greatness. I wanted a whole lot less waiting. Don't confuse me with the details, just make it happen fast. I can turn the computer on, why do I need to know anything else? Just when I think of something I want my computer to do, I check and it can do it.

I am a Mac and Windows 7 was my idea.

The task bar.

The new operating system for windows needed fast switching and quick task bar to be like the heads up task switcher and to have superhuman qualities like flying and speeding bullets and locomotive power.

We need to have something to be just like our elegant transparent apple windows so that you can peek at applications and the desktop. It will be the best superpower we have: Invisibility!  We'll call it aero peek. I just wanted to be able to have something like a dock to manage the window and look cool. This technology rocks even if the old method worked just fine, I want something that looks and feels like a dock. A place where you can drag stuff to to activate it and drag stuff off of it to get rid of it, and to change sizes and to have fun interesting ways to make it function.

I am a Mac and Windows 7 is my idea.

The Family

Simpler, easier, cleaner.

I wanted my computer to be simpler, easier, and cleaner. I wanted less clutter and ease of use. I wanted something that I could understand. So I demanded a system that organized all of my desktop clutter in a way that I could still find all my little notes and stuff. Speaking of little notes, I want my computer to have sticky notes. I want my whole screen filled with sticky notes and I want them to be all different colors and I want them to disappear and then come back on demand.

I am a Mac and Windows 7 is my idea.

Dashboard and Gadgets

I want you to have a transparent window to allow peeking into other applications or real time internet items like time and weather and the price of gold and silver. A calendar, slideshows, see headlines and subscribe to feeds. I want all this to be available at my finger tip and with the flick of a button. I want all of this to be simple and easy to use.

I'm a Mac and Windows 7 is my Idea.

Run XP

Run Dual Program with Boot Camp

The most important way to control this new beauty is to have it reside on our disk drive with our apple where the super powers can be monitored and nurtured by the mother computer and operate on a virtual plane in a virtual machine.  Here we can fiercely protect our pc with our powerful cats  the tigers and the leopards.

Here by our side can operate our virtual pc under the watchful eye of its inventor.

I'm a Mac and Windows 7 was my Idea!

Ubuntu rocks, and if you want a dock, you can place a checkmark, hit apply and it will happen. Try Ubuntu with the Compiz Fusion plug in. You can leap tall buildings in a single bound and pass Mac and Windows at the speed of thought. You can choose multiple desktop environments and change it up fast. It's so customizable and it's all free.

What a fantastic hub, so true of all the 'Mac' features on Windows 7. And I'm writing this comment on my MAC.

Thanks for a great read and welcome to Hubpages.

I am a keen reader of information about the Mac and Windows operating systems, although not a Mac user. I am also comfortable running Linux inside virtual machines. What you have written here is a very compelling and elegant presentation. Your basic notion that Windows 7 is a Mac spinoff also happens to be true. Great job.

@WE so glad you came to read this, it is meant to be a humorous take off on the Win7 commercials. It was a lot of fun to write. Thanks for reading it and leaving a comment.

I have NEVER seen any of those features being used on Mac OSX, and I've been SURROUNDED by exclusive Mac users for YEARS. Oh, and every SINGLE time I'm on a Mac and I'm trying to do something that was EASY _TEN YEARS_ ago I find myself continually cursing and wind up taking five times as long - to figure out how to make the thing do what I want, and then for the machine to implement it.

@Christopher Thanks for taking the time to both read and leave your opinion. I do appreciate it. However, you missed the point completely, this is meant to be a tongue in cheek parody of the Win7 commercial. It was supposed to be funny but at the same time point out the similarities between the two. I use both, I have both a pc at home and a mac and I have a mac at school and run a virtual machine with Win7 on it. I use both environments all the time. I see many similarities between the two and think it is too bad you don't.
