What is Google good for?
I am so over the so called educated. Can some body please tell me why Google is so popular when all I keep getting told, by those who consider themselves more educated than others, not to believe anything I read on Google. Not to mention, what I have been reading actually comes from the medical research put out by the Research Hospitals telling me not to believe what I'm reading themselves?
I find it amusing I can find facts, from numerous worldwide sources, to dispute things with evidence but no-one will prove me wrong, they all just tell me I'm delusional.
Why won't anyone prove me wrong.
I think what they're referring to is don't believe everything you read that does not have credible sources. Google has a catalog of everything on the internet so when you search for a keyword you get EVERYTHING on that word, not just certified, fact-driven information. I can easily set up a website about heart disease with a ton of information, but if I do not have the sources to back that information up then it may be wrong or just made up. You need to use your own discretion and not take everything that turns upon Google as gospel. The same goes for other search sites like Bing, Yahoo, or MSN. All search engines just display web pages with words similar to what you searched for, they do not filter the accurate from the obscene.
