Bing or Google? Which search engine do you prefer?
I see the commercial on television about how people are choosing Bing over Google as a search engine. I did the "Bing it on" test and my results came out as a draw. What is your experience? Do you prefer Bing or Google?
Google, but only because I am a creature of habit and change comes slowly for me when it comes to technology.
Despite all my frustrations with Google, from an SEO perspective, I prefer them over Bing...at the moment!
I was working on someone else's laptop only yesterday and Bing opened as the default search engine for Internet Explorer. I was searching for an update to Firefox and typed in 'Mozilla Firefox' I believe. I think the official site only showed up in position 5. The same search term in Google put the official site in position 1, where it should be in my opinion.
Nonetheless, I am becoming a little overwhelmed by the number of scholarly results that Google is showing when I am undertaking research. Honestly, you'd need to be Einstein to understand some of the articles! I think that Google is taking quality writing to the extreme! I now find myself increasingly adding '-.edu' to the Google search term.
Google without a doubt.. I goole EVERYTHING ... even people ..
I have tried Bing... I dont like it.. but that may be just because Im comfy with google .
Hi windygreen, thank you for your honest and candid answer. That's exactly what I want to know. Are people sticking with Google out of comfort or do they just not like Bing? I'm intrigued. So, thank you for weighing in.
I prefer Google because it's my favorite since 2006. Before this I was using Alta Vista, Bing
Oh my goodness! I remember Alta Vista. Are they still around? Personally, I still use Google, too. Once in a while I'll try another one just to see if I'm missing something.
Yes, Marlene, it's still running and during that time hotboat was also a famous search engine. This Web site gives exact figures on which is at the top at present: http://www.searchenginedog.com/, some of the names we never heard of don't laugh..
