    Has the Internet changed how we socialise and down graded our interpersonal skills?

    Especially within the youth of today we find communication and socialisation is played out across the Internet, from chat rooms, to messenger programs and social media networks. Has this evolution of socialising in this manner degraded our face to face social skills and possibly language skills?

    Not for me.

    I use the net to obtain information and make a little money on the side. I seldom do chats and doesn't spend a lot of time in social networks.

    I still like talking to my friends and meeting people face to face.

    There's one aspect of the web I kinda like, it's now a lot easier to connect with friends and relatives who are away.

    For some, yes. I would say breaking up by sending a text message is a clear example of degradation of interpersonal skills.
