60I am a 30 year old stay-at-home mom to a sometimes spectatular, sometimes dracula, almost two year old boy. I have a great group of stay-at-home mommy friends that have helped me get through a lot. My family eats and lives well (albeit on a tight budget) and there is joy to every day (albeit not ALL day long). How I got to this point, well I'll give you the short version.
I was a wild child that was moved around a lot throughout my life by my gypsy parents. Eventually, they settled in Virginia where I met my future husband. I moved in with him and we have been together ever since. My soon to be husband and I moved to Florida on a whim from Virginia before we were married and have learned more then a few life lessons along the way. Leaving family and friends behind for a new place where you do not know a soul, was a decision taken too lightly. Hastily we bought a home while the market was still booming and then a month later my husband lost his job.
There was a light at the end of the tunnel. My husband found a job after a year's struggle, we kept our house and started to make a few friends. We were blessed with a baby boy in 2011 that has added more to our life than we could have dreamed. I have two dogs and a cat that can make life with a child a little complicated, but they are part of my life all the same. My days have become a mixture of tantrums (from my son and myself), diapers, playdates and boogers. Through it all I have found a way to stay sane while raising an amazing little fellow along the way.
