Sharing Options Change

Focusing on Comments

As some of you may have noticed, we've recently made some changes to the sharing options on articles, including removing the Flipboard button. We understand that many found this button useful and that a number of articles receive great traffic from Flipboard (and we encourage you to continue Flipping articles), however, across all writers the button did not see as much use as we'd hoped. Additionally, we wanted to put more of a focus on the comment option. High-quality comments that are on topic are a great indicator to search engines (and readers) that the article is useful and engaging. It is our hope that showing the comment icon prominently in the share options will result in more readers leaving comments when they visit. Thanks for your patience while we explore and test ways to make your articles more successful. Happy Hubbing!
