   What is your favorite home remedy that you have used on one of your pets?
   
   Anyone who knows me knows that I am a coconut oil nut even with my dogs, and I was just reading an answer to one of my questions about using honey on/for pets.  This obviously peeked my curiosity as to how many more home remedies are used with pets successfully that I don't know about.

   We have a female who tends to get constipated when she is in season. We use pure pumpkin in a can, not the pumpkin pie mix, just the plain pumpkin. Works every time!!!

      I raised a baby deer once and we had to give it to him every so often and it worked great.  Great stuff and your right about making sure it's pure pumpkin.  Thanks I had not thought about it for my dogs.

   I too use coconut oil in my dog's food for their coat as well as olive oil. A raw egg is also good for them to have atleast once a week.

      What do you use the turmeric and resveratrol for if you don't mind?  I've never used either.

      It's supposed to help with limpomas and overall health. My dog is older and has arthritic symptoms along with other things. It's said to ward off cancer and other age-associated ailments.

   I use Skin-So-Soft Bath Oil.  It keeps the fleas, ticks, and other insects off of dogs, horses, cats, etc.  I used to sell Avon and I learned that Skin-So-Soft is good for a lot of things!

      I use it on myself to for mosquitoes especially here in Florida.  Do you mix it or use it straight?

      I have been using it straight but I think it would work better if I mixed it.  We also use it on the horses out at the therapeutic riding center where I volunteer but they mix theirs.  I don't remember what all they mix it with, though.

   I use dende (palm oil) to improve my dog´s coat. The best antioxidant that I have available is açai, and acerola, which is a vitamin C (antioxidant) supplement.
   For fleas, I use vinegar.

      I never heard of using the palm oil, but have heard a lot about the vinegar for fleas.  Do you put it in their water and if so how much?  I use acai myself and now know of an alternative for the dogs Thanks

      Palm oil is a good vitamin E supplement. If you are interested in this subject I have several articles on natural dog health. Apple cider vinegar has been used in the dogs water or food, but I use plain vinegar topically.

   If you put a teaspoon in your dog or cats waterbowl each day and wash their fur in vinegar, it kills and prevents fleas.
   For my dog when she did have fleas, dawn dish soap killed em great!
