Pregnant outside dog and I'm clueless! PLEASE HELP!!! <3

I moved in with someone who keeps their dog outside on a tied down lead. She has a dog house in a covered area, plenty of water & food and is "loved & taken care of." Not the way I take care of & love my pets, I hate seeing dogs living outside, much less tied-up!
She is pregnant now, didn't get her spayed. Don't think she's ever been to the vet either. She will chase & possibly nip at people if taken off lead. He's been to court & paid fines over her. Bringing her in isn't an option, I've tried! I'm clueless on how to help a preg. dog much less the birthing & after. Please advise. TY!

I would make a private facebook page, connect with the rescue groups in your area, then contact the owners in private message explaining the situation.

Once you find a rescue to take her wait until he is not there, then take the dog, and get it some place where it will truly be loved and taken care of.

There is no way to leave a dog tied out 24/7 and at the same time claim to love the animal! There are tons of rescue groups on facebook. If you follow local shelters you will see many rescue groups post in there, then you can follow or friend them. If one can't take the girl they can usually direct you to more.

Please get this dog away from your POS roommate! If you can't please research pregnancy, labor warning signs, food for her while nursing, pretty much anything you can.

Honestly if it were me, I'd probably take the dog to get aborted and fixed while he is at work. It would be sad, but better than her having to deal with nursing in the summer outside with an owner who doesn't give a crap about her!

Agreed and some good information! Thank you so much for replying. I've never asked a question online before and didn't know to check my email. Thanks again!

If you are foolish enough to think that this man's behavior is limited to this poor dog than you are deluding yourself. Whether your relationship is strictly a roommate situation or a romantic one you will eventually be the victim of similar careless and neglectful treatment. The way people treat their pets is a mirror into their souls and this man's soul is black. Please get that poor dog help, then get out.
