    Are all ginger cats male?

I was once told that all ginger coloured cats are male.  I doubt this, as I recall as a teenager that our family had two ginger cats, one male, one female.  The female died before it became full grown.  So, what's the verdict?  Are all ginger cats male?

We have a ginger female cat, so I think that makes it clear the answer is no.

Yeah, all ginger cats are male and they procreate asexually by splitting in two.

No. There are male ginger cats as well as female ginger cats. Female ginger cat is not rare but less common than male ginger cat. I myself ever have a female ginger kitten until she grow up become a female ginger cat and gave birth to three male ginger cats. For further explanation regarding this you can read on my hub http://ryanjhoe.hubpages.com/hub/Are-Fe … -Cats-Rare
