Can you help I have an English Setter puppy who we believe to have an allergy to Chicken she...
scratched her ears so much she ruptured them. We have her on Wafcol Salmon and Potatoe but she has really bad diarrhoea
My dog had allergies to seemingly all foods on the market. It turns out he just couldn't handle kibble. He had diarrhea all the time and was itching like mad. I started making his food. A lot of foods that make a dog "allergic" when it's in kibble will not make him sick in its real form (like, cooked chicken or raw chicken).
Check to make sure the food you have contains no corn or wheat products at all because these will sometimes make yeast infections on the skin or in the ears of dogs.
Here are links to some hubs I wrote about making dog food, and one on stopping dog diarrhea. It takes me about 15 minutes a week to prepare enough food for my 50 lb. very active dog.
Good luck with your puppy.
