After a pet had died from panleukopenia, how long until you can have another cat?
A kitten adopted from a shelter developed panleukopenia and died (his name Frodo). His bed, toys, litterbox were all thrown out. The hardwood and kitchen floors were bleached multiple times. The carpet has been shampooed twice. I'm getting conflicting reports on how long I must wait to adopt another cat. This virus is very contagious and deadly to kittens.
If I adopt an adult cat, not a kitten, that is full vaccinated and who receives a booster, is it safe to bring him into my home?

My cat Sabrina she past away im not sure if it was her age or that she was sick, but my vet told me to wait 6months just in case. so that everything that might have caused your cat to die to die its self. Its a long wait but when the time was up i was gifted a very cute new baby kitten shes 9 months now but her name is noel which i should have named her the devil the way she acts i hope this helps and im sorry for your loss . thats my noel .
