Should I change my pet (dog) and instead of this bring a new cat in my home?
Cats and dogs have completely different personalities. Having said that, all animals have their own personalities just like people do. If you've been around cats on a semi-regular basis then you know what they're like and how they are different from dogs. They are more self-reliant which can also mean they are more aloof. You don't have to walk them when it's raining but you do have to clean the litter box. Dogs want to be where ever you are, cats couldn't care less if you don't come home for dinner. I've shared my home with both cats and dogs and both have a lot going for them, it really depends upon your personal situation and tastes.
