   Unless there are allergy issues or other specific medical reasons to choose one breed over another, I don't think it makes a difference. That said, cats have very individual personalities, so you really do have to find one that fits well with the household and that you can get along with.

   I( have a variety of cats. Variety is good!
   Several of the cat's that I live with are Norwegian Forest cats (actually half that and half domestic shorthair). They are lovable, loving, calm, laid-back and just friendly as heck.
   They have a sibling that is half Abyssinian. He has the same personality traits, though he is a little bit less affectionate, or at least he shows it less.
   
   The best breed? Cat. Various.

   I love Ragdoll cats! They're so sweet and have a dog-like personality, plus they can play fetch with paper wads. They're my favorite cat breed hands down.
