    There are  very few things you can catch by a cat licking you.  This is their way of showing affection.  You cannot catch feline HIV,  feline leukemia, or any other cat diseases with a cat lick.  The fel d 1 glycoprotein is what cats secrete from their skin that people with allergies react to.  There are anti allergy medications to take for allergies to felines if you wish to have a cat as a pet;  or simply do not have a cat for a pet.   To learn more about this fel d 1 glycoprotein visit:
