Is your furry four legged friend treated like family or a pet ?
I would have to say my cats are always treated more like family members.
My dog is absolutely a member of my family. We are together every day--often just the two of us--and I talk to her frequently. (She often answers, though not in English. She has a variety of barks and other vocalizations which I recognize to mean different things.)
No, I'm not nutty, just a human whose "other child" is furry and has four legs.
Family of course. They sometimes appreciate you a lot more too.
