How many dog breeds can you name that are terriers?
There are so many different terriers in the dog world. How many do you know of? Do you know the name of the terrier in the picture? (Wikipedia Public Domain)
I guess around 5-6 :
American Pit Bull Terrier
American Staffordshire Terrier
The dog in the picture seems to be a Pitbull. Is it ?
Hi Akriti. No - it is not a Pitbull. Interesting on the Kromfohrlander - I never heard of that one.
Kromfohrlander is a german terrier. Which breed is the dog in the picture ?
The dog in the picture is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Very similar to the American Bull Terrier and the Pit Bull.
I know there are so many, but the only ones that come to mind right now are the Jack Russell Terrier (because I had one), the Scottish Terrior, I think LOL. The one in the photo does look like a pit bull, but I don't have a clue.
Hi Faith. The Scottish Terrier is a terrier breed - usually called a Scottie. It is also referred to as an Aberdeen Terrier. I love Jack Russells. My brother has two and they are so sweet and affectionate.
Yes, Scottie. Jack Russells are so active and can leap so high in the air, almost like they are flying LOL. I love their short hair and size, and they are protective of their family.
I had an Airedale Terrier for almost fourteen years. She was amazing! Terriers have unique and wonderful personalities from my experience. Awesome dogs. : )
Ha, ha, Phyllis! My knowledge is practically zippo when it comes to dog breeds. My daughter's one Pit bull mix is believed to be part rat terrier (if there is such a thing). She constantly sniffs the yard for lizards to chase.
The answers to this question are educational. I wish to thank those knowledgeable hubbers out there on this one.

I, personally, have two breeds that tie in my heart- the American Pit Bull Terrier and the Yorkshire Terrier. Odd picks, I know, but eh I love em... Can't wait for another. I currently have 1 of each. When my APBT pup is no longer a pup, I'm split between which to bring home. I'd love to find a...

Pit Bull Terriers as Pets - Yes or No - and most importantly - WHY, especially if you answered yes?I personally am against having Pit Bulls as pets (especially for a family with children) for the very simple reason of “instinctive trait”. Pit Bulls were selected and groomed to be fighting dogs...
